From too many craft items to too few?

I liked all the monster drops that were made of bits of monster - it fits so well thematically with the armour and weapon LOOKS.

I get that it was a lot, and maybe the random drops weren't giving people what they wanted / needed, but...

a) surely later there will be a shop that lets you exchange drops for other drops (at a rate that favours the shopkeeper, but still gives you what you need)

b) surely you could, for example, have a mini-boss drop that will always drop at least one, and a boss drop that always drops at least one? Then there's at least 5 resources to gather per region, rather than just 3? 3 seems to be not enough variety for me...

LOVING the game, by the way!
