Swiyss
I got some things in mind from watching the last klei stream, would be cool to consider some small QoL ones, if other forumites have something to say about these ideas feel free to comment and thanks for reading! I am asking if the team could possibly make the particles that stays on the ground after a lunar hail happens stay for longer? Not too much, just a little longer since it looks so beautiful. Maybe 1 to 2 minutes. I see there was a performance fix in the beta, that's amazing for megabuilds! As for the title, I was thinking about how when the moon shards fall into the ocean, they simply fall down. When that happens, the infused ones could maybe materialize and grow some small "formations" that stay for sometime maybe, similar to the ones in moonstorms. That would be a cool way to quickly create ocean light using the new wax item to freeze the infused formation and create a scared infused lamp. I know I maybe went overboard here, but a way to add lights to the ocean would be even more awesome. The spray range could be higher also, and the new infused light could be mineable and placeable again to relocate. 1 enligh shard would be enough for max range. This may not be priority for you guys, so maybe another time, but consider adding ocean lights. Can we maybe add a way to call lunar hail in wickerbottom's skill tree? I would love to force them to spawn then. Now that the celestial champion only requires 1 restrained static, it would make spawning and killing him for enlight shards even better. I also have a suggestion for moongleams, a machine from wagstaff to automatically collect moongleams. It is a stretch that we have to resort to bug nets for that, but maybe this idea would be too much to focus on. But if possible, I was thinking about a rabbit running on a threadmill and a gloved hand swiping bug nets to store moongleams, the moongleams would go to your inventory when picking up the machine. Wobots are very great for storage optimization, but I have something different in mind haha. Please can we pet him? Or maybe feed him energy? Our beloved character Winona needs more recognition too, her machines could speed him up just a bit, just some quality of life. Also we could get a Winona + Wx78 synergy in the making, similar to our old wx "synergy" with wickerbottom. They got an interaction together in the wx animated short. Warbis interaction too. We need more winona interactions with these new science stuff guys, could take in consideration maybe atleast 1 qol for her. I would like if she could get some engineering synergies? I have some small ideas to make her feel more alive to play. Wobots repaired by winona can walk faster. She gets a better loot from piles of junk. She can upgrade the rainometer to tell when lunar hails might happen. She can have a thermal stone insulation gadget to make it last a little longer, that could help other survivors too! Winona can fix the werepig new weapons with scrap so they don't break for her. She can study wagstaff papers for permanent warbis buff when she's using it. She can also gain the ability to upgrade old machines, like flingomatic range, catapult range, light radius of her machine, gem and energy consumption. Winona can tell temperature degree numbers when examining the thermal measure. Other simple QoL that could be thrown together in this update here: Throwing a regular firework to the sky when hounds are barking could scare the hounds and reduce the wave amount by only 2 hounds, they could howl "aaaooooouuuooua" as a signal that some left and some scary dog sounds. Add a small animation for rabbits eating carrots and other small foods. Add the scrapbook to the main menu, so we can use it without starting a world. More birds sounds, pick up sounds, a button for enabling "legacy sounds" in the settings for those who want the old picking sound. Make it possible to when placing a digamajig, it relocate to ponds (similar when the wagstaff build is relocated to the center of mysterious energy) for fishing in winter (some small holes similar to the sharkboi one could work). The hole would go away in spring. Talking about spring, we don't currently have a way to differentiate regular rain from spring rain. Maybe the winds could move water droplets a bit? Would be a nice visual bonus. The lunar hail dust pile could be shoveled for an item maybe. This item could be mixed with collected dust to make lunar dust. This craft could then be given to dust moths for a Lunar Moth Egg. These eggs could be added to a large canopy tree to hatch. These hatched lunar moths would then illuminate all the tree area, and some branches turn into lunar tree branches. The tree would then protect against rain a little better. Make crustashines accidentally mix with wobsters for ocean light some way. Or maybe the curstashines could climb a canopy tree in some way. I know I gave a lot of suggestions here, this is what came to mind when I saw some of the new features. If some of these are great, but not priority, please consider adding them later. Kubicska
Crustashine and Above-Average Tree interactions would be super neat! It would fill in the hole in the heart of those who miss the features of the Great Tree Trunks that the Above-Average Trees don’t have (grassgators, striders, renewable fireflies) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/154541-beta-suggestions/#findComment-1701172 Share on other sites
