Can't not Enforce Widescreen on Steam Deck (bug)

Something's up with the way Enforce Widescreen applies when playing Invisible Inc. on the Steam Deck's game mode. If I play the native Linux client in game mode, I can't get Enforce Widescreen to unset; I change the setting, accept changes, and it doesn't apply, and next time I go back into settings it's set again.

It's not a problem if I run the Linux client in the Steam Deck's Desktop mode, but the only way I was able to get enforce widescreen to stay turned off in game mode was to switch to using Proton (which runs the Windows binaries instead of the native Linux client).
