How do i forbid an useable item (a healing salve sort of item) from being used on pigmen, merms, and other minions?

I made a healing item for my modded character but it causes some issues when used on minions. It was never intended to be used on non players anyway so I'd like to just restrict its use. I'm pretty sure its a simple code that excludes tags from possible uses but I havent been able to find an example. Could someone give me a hand with that?
