An Everyday Man
Is it worth it to use night lights in your first summer's ruins base? On one hand they do not affect temperature and their fuel is abundant in the ruins but I have heard some people say that they are suboptimal. If they are not useful then what could I replace them with? Popian
Use stars or Fire Pits (assuming you are close to monkeys). Night Lights are okay for places where you are not planning to stay long to save on portable light, the main problem is identifying those places. Might come in handy if I plan on making the world long-term, thank you Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/149227-question-regarding-ruins-bases-and-lighting/#findComment-1648298 Share on other sites

So probably next to groups of ponds and lichen where I'll only be going once every few days to stock up on eels to bundle and lichen to cook, right? That sounds like a good use case. It doesn't hurt to test it out, and if you find it worth it you can keep doing it.
