larsa
While playing on Webber, a spider (Dangling Spider) joins in a cave. When the server disconnects after that, the Dangling Spider's companion status is canceled. The solution is to put the Dangling Spider in a pouch and then release it back into the field, so that it remains a companion even after the server disconnects, but this is very time-consuming. Is there a better way to make the Dangling Dangling Spider a companion without putting it in the pouch and then disconnecting from the server so that it remains a companion? Gashzer
I dont think there is a better fix. You could bring the spiders in a pouch to the surface and then travel back to caves to release them. Bringing them to the surface will break the dangling spider's connection to its den. This means they won't run away when you disconnect from caves now. Its still abit time-consuming... Lardee
There are two things you need to be aware of that will hopefully make your Webber gaming experience better: 1. As long as no one else on the server gets near the Dangling Depth spider, it will remain unloaded. So if you disconnect and the spider remains unloaded, when you reconnect, it should still be friendly. 2. Make sure that your friendly spiders are near you when you disconnect. Whenever you disconnect/reconnect, only the spiders that are near you will remain friendly. If your friendly spiders are far away enough from you when you DC, they will go back to being neutral when you log back in even if they remained unloaded the entire time you were gone. larsa
I just played the game and found that when I disconnected the server not only in the cave but also on the ground, my friends disappeared. Here are the steps (both are single-player, with only me as a player) 1) Place the small amount of spiders caught in the cave in a pouch and release them on the ground. (I have a few mods installed) 2) On the ground, use Webby Whistle to release spiders from the web and give them monster meat to make them companion with normal spiders. 3) Open a little distance from the spiderweb, confirm that the spiders have gathered nearby, and disconnect from the server. 4)When the server is logged in again, the spider that was taken out of the pouch is companion, but the spider that was made companion by giving it meat disappears. 5) I played the game in vanilla to check the effect of mods, but the same result was observed. Based on the comments I received, the condition to become companion is to give meat, but to keep it after server disconnection, the relationship between the web and the spider must be cut. I have found that cutting this relationship can be fulfilled by putting it in a pouch. But I think you can easily imagine the stress that that method would cause. But if there is no other way, we may need to think about how to play with this spec... (stop playing so often/choose the scene when playing with a large army) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/146807-dst-im-playing-webber-and-i-want-to-companion-status-spider-that-joined-me-in-a-cave-join-me-after-the-server-disconnection/#findComment-1627716 Share on other sites
