Remove tilling and garden hoe. Incorporate automatic 3x3 grid for planting garden seeds.

I have been an avid gardener and have made 90% of the crock-pot recipes, but for most characters, I have to concede that with sufficient hound/depth-worm attacks, a caged bird (and maybe a single bee box and/or nearby pond for fish) has a better time/effort trade-off than gardening for any character except Wurt (I love Wurt).

The Garden hoe and till-anywhere are just speed-bumps (complications/annoyances) that don't make the game more fun.  You could keep a "legacy mode" with a hoe and 4x4 snapping tills for The Gorge, but that should be in your configuration screen.  Or, The Gorge can enlarge the size of their garden plots a little bit and balance the difference in other ways.

I think you could make these changes without fundamentally changing farming or unbalancing the game.  There's still plenty of distraction with hounds, depth-worms, and earthquakes that kill your Friendly Fruit Fly if you don't run away from base quickly enough.

Thank you for the game.  Still enjoying it at 500+ hours.

Update: I've spent maybe 8 hours playing Gorge.  As far as I can tell, 3x3 tills would work absolutely fine in that environment.  For some reason the Snapping Tills mod doesn't work there for me.  It hardly matters how you till (I'm sure you could do it badly enough to cause some inconvenience, but you'd have to really work at it).  It's really hard to watch that your kettle doesn't boil over while you're manually tilling tho.

Anyway, there's no need for a 4x4 "legacy mode."  I don't see any downside to hard-coding 3x3 auto-tilling, even if you keep the garden hoe to do it.

All my gardening is based on tiles with 10 crops (I don’t remember the name of mod but it works perfectly with Queue Action, so with 1 click I got my 10 holes). So I would not like hard coded 3x3.

I don't understand.  Can you post a picture?  Nine plants per tile is the most that can grow giant crops.  4x4 is the maximum that fit per tile.  5x5?  Do you mean 2.5 x 2.5 per tile?

"One click I got [all my] holes" is really what I'm after.  If that requires some configuration, I'm happy to do it.

The capture shows how the mod « snapping tills » can result in 10 crops per tile with hexagon mode.
