Cloakingsumo198 Posted December 10, 2022 Share Posted December 10, 2022 There needs to be invincibility when exiting or entering caves due to lower end pcs and the older console generation struggling to load the player in before the hostile mobs making it so the players never have a chance to dodge/fight back. This isn't to the fault of the player but hardware limitations and since there's already spawn protection and free light provided to people who reenter the game this isn't too far off from either. It only needs to be active until the player makes any action that includes moving/using items so that they are atleast given the chance to react but not be able to abuse the invincibility. It doesn't have to be invincibility it could even be that all mobs are either passive or just can't perceive the players presence at all until they are fully loaded and able to move. Nightmaretribe Posted December 11, 2022 Share Posted December 11, 2022 Yes, I've made posts about this and I've seen others do the same I 100% agree and I said pretty much the same idea I posted but yes we need them and everything to be passive so you don't die from loading its very annoying especially when you have a 2000+ day world that's when it starts being really annoying to load in and the move you add and the more days pass the longer it will take to load in I've talked about things you can do to help pervert you from dying putting bunny's two hutches around each cave that's surrounded by walls to project you from the bats and then you have to wall off the actual cave and I hope you're not die for the worms or hounded Shootist instead of bunny hutches either way its very annoying and needs to hopefully be seen and get a patch to fix this issue I made a big complaint because as soon as I would load in I would die and I only play on survival so as soon as I would load in I would have to roll back and if you have a very long term world it would sometimes let the timer for world reset happen before the I'll roll back would initiate but they thankfully made a setting for you to take off the timer of world reset just hopefully this is seen by klei. Honestly klei listens more to their community then any other game company I have ever seen so I'm very greatful for that. ShadowbirdRH Posted December 12, 2022 Share Posted December 12, 2022 I thought a relatively recent update did give players protection during loading between caves/surface. A while back there was a span of time between said update and an even earlier update that supposedly sped up loading during such transitions. Previously I had no problem getting away from situations like that, but in that span I started having a nasty time with the rabbit hutches outside my sinkholes. If I were ever carrying anything the bunnymen didn't like, I wouldn't even see myself die, I'd just load in as a ghost. I haven't had that happen in a long while though, or even noticed any damage when loading under dangerous conditions, and I've been playing as Wortox lately.
