we have rovers, we have sweepies, and we have robo-miners, we have auto-sweepers, but thats about it. we have no other form of robotic machinery. i will talk about

1. mounted sweepies

2. rechargable robots

3. auto sweepers on rails

4. new atmo suit

5. other

 

topic 1: what is a mounted sweepy? it is a sweepy with a specific function placed instead of a decor item. you could put auto sweepers, for larger area of sweeping, miners, to constantly clear out areas, critter killers, farm tools, or other items. these items would cost refined metal, and would take extra charge. 

 

topic 2: we have rovers, but those can only be launched from rockets. they are not rechargable, they are slow, can only do basic tasks, we cannot set their priorities, and cannot move them manually. i was thinking a station. this station would need to be built out of steel and "gears". gears could be made out of several different types of refined metals, and would be made at the crafting station 2.0. it would be locked behind data banks research, and would need to be made out of steel. back to the robot station, it would draw 2.5kw of power, but only for 1/8 of the day (while the robot charges), and as such would need heavi-watt wires. it would be active the entirety of the first day, to make the robot. robots cannot cook, decorate, doctor, or research, and would have a default of 4 in all skills. robots can specialize in 1 type of skill, getting +12 instead of +4. their priorities and their specialization can be changed while they charge. robots that cannot make it back to the charging station will shut down and must be rescued by duplicants. note that robots weigh 800 kilos and can only be carried by stronger duplicants. having more thn 2 robots on a planet will stress duplicants out, giving +10% stress a cycle per robot above 2. duplicants will start fleeing from robots and stop most work if you have 6 or more robots on one planet at the same time. robots will charge more efficiently if they are in a "robot station" room. this room has to be enclosed and have exactly two robot charging stations, and have no furniture buildings. robot charging stations can be tuned up with engie's tune up.

 

topic 3: auto sweepers on rails will move back and forth, having a larger collection area, and taking 40 more watts of power.

 

topic 4: lava diving suit. 20 kilo oxygen tank, +2000 overheat temp, +60 insulation, -12 athletics(is only half affected by atmo suit training) and +7 excavation and strength. can only move up to 50 tiles away from the dock, and has to have a straight path(duplicant is connected by a cable). duplicants will have +15% stress while in a lava diving suit. costs 600 watts to charge. must be made out of thermium, insulation, and diamond.
