I worked through it and was ready to test it to see how my character would look, but it exited out of the game. This kept happening several times and each time it wouldn't tell me what was wrong. Eventually I found a little / somewhere in my files and I deleted it. It turns out that was the problem and it started working. Then I made a few tweaks to my character and now its not working again. If I could get some help that be much appreciated. Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, I am fairly new to the forums so sorry.
