Struggling to make spell book like Wickerbottom's

Hello,

I've been creating a modded character for base Don't Starve and I wanted them to come with a spell book similar to one of the books Wickerbottom has.

My current goal is to give my cutom book the same function as the birds of the world book.

I've managed to add a custom crafting tab but the spell book isn't working. Whenever I make it my character says it's not possible and the crafting items are used up. I've added a ground animation, inventory picture and I've copied the function code from wickerbottom's .lua file specifically the bird's of the world book, I'm not sure what's wrong with it so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached a .zip file with my mod character and coding. The book is labled as the "corvus_tome" while my character is refered to as "twistedmind".
