List password limitations

Please list password limitations when creating a new password. I've used a password manager to generate a 40 character-long password with various special character, but each and every time I try to log in again afterwards, the password is supposedly wrong.

For clarification, is this password you are making for use on the forums here, inside a game like Don't Starve Together, or something else?
