tommy-cash Posted April 25, 2022 Share Posted April 25, 2022 Hello, I was wondering if that is normal or there is a fix that, when i host server and play for some time, game starts to lag. Only game restart is fixing that. I think it happens faster if sanity is low. This problem for me is for some 3 years. I have reinstalled windows, everything, but it still comes up. 2Flow2 Posted April 25, 2022 Share Posted April 25, 2022 Hm, I host a server on my local computer here that I play with one friend a few times a week. In fact, I was just playing it today with him. I've never had an issue with the game lagging after a time. To try and troubleshoot the error you will probably have to collect some more specific info and then come back to report it: Quote and play for some time How long does the server typically need to be up before you begin noticing the lag? Open up a timer on Windows and cause the issue to occur a few times before posting back here. (Please don't just respond with "i dunno, a while" ) How many people are connecting to the game you are hosting? How far away are the people who are connecting to your server? (Are you in the United States while your friends are in Bangledesh?) Does the lag that appears only occur for you, or does everyone on the server begin experiencing it? What are the specs of your computer? (Your CPU and memory specifically.) If you go to https://www.speedtest.net/, what number is it outputting for your network speed? If you're willing to put in the work to test some of this stuff people here may be able to help you! But if you don't have a desire to do research into why the problem might be occuring, don't expect people here to put in work to help you in return. (Not saying that is you, just want to set expectations .) tommy-cash Posted April 26, 2022 Author Share Posted April 26, 2022 1. If I play insane all the time(like wolfgang ruins) the lag will start to accrue around 1h of play. As I have noticed the lagging accrues only when I play with low sanity. 2. 2 people. Me and one more 3.Right next to me. On the same table 4. Lag only apears to me, but the other person never plays with low sanity. 5.I have 8600k with 16gb and with 3060ti. Adding picture with my internet speeds. I'm not quite sure what would be causing that lag, especially if it appears to be Sanity-related, but I bet there are other users on this forum who will have a better idea on how to pin this problem down. To get more traction with this question, I would edit the title of the post to be something more unique. Something like "Low sanity seems to be causing unexpected results?" Otherwise there's a good chance many people are going to scroll past this question without reading it because (no fault of your own) there are many low-quality and low-effort posts out there with very similar titles made by people who are just complaining but don't give any details about their problem or help try to fix it.
