WX Rework

I think the direction being taken for the WX rework is fantastic and I really like the plug-ins for him. My biggest complaint about the rework is I feel like it’s too much reward and not enough drawback. Personally I really enjoy it when characters have unique abilities that open up aspects of the game but also come with some kind of drawback that requires unique planning.

I just don’t feel like the wetness above 20% and hunger at 0 mechanic is not enough to really feel like the character has any real downside. Especially since the eyebrella and raincoat exist giving 100% wetness immunity.

Personally I think having more management of his charge levels and having the order of plug-ins being of more importance would be enjoyable to play around. Currently him taking a little over a day to reach full charge feels pretty boring. It doesn’t require any player interaction and honestly waiting a day for full charge is pretty minuscule.

I disagree. I personally feel like wx is a little undertuned at the moment, though i would like a downside as well, as i like picking characters for their downsides as much as their upsides, needing an eyebrella in the rain isnt a downside, its just what you would do anyway

The idea that needing the eyebrella in the rain isn’t really a downside is precisely what I was saying. It’s far too easy to mitigate his downsides. But if you don’t, his downsides are very punishing.

My point was that wx doesnt have great upsides, speed is great, light is nice and winter protection is cool, but the rest of the upgrades are kind of i could take it or leave it. Compared to bernie, weremoose, wortox, they’re kind of bland. 

I was just flat agreeing about the need of a downside, i like strong downsides, its why wormwood is one of my favorites. Wx has a lot of room to add a strong downside, i just want the upsides to be stronger as well

I see what you mean now. Agree that many of the upgrades don’t feel useful but I would argue that they don’t feel useful mostly because movement speed 2.0, moggle vision, and the winter protection circuits exist. Each of those 3 should eat up all 6 slots in my opinion due to how game changing they are and due to the ability to swap them out as needed.

I do really like how the winter protection one works though. Plug 1 in and you can still freeze but it takes longer, plug 2 in and you can no longer freeze. I think that kind of choice leads to enjoyable decision making.
