Character Ability Coder Wanted!

Howdy there!
I'm Lampy, and I've been around the block a couple of times with modding games, but DST is a whole new beast for me. I want to make a character for it, which is no problem right? I've learned code before, at least a little, so it shouldn't be hard. The problem is...

I have a very very hard time understanding code. 

So! To save me a potential headache and make this a funnier experience, I'm looking for some people who can work their way around DST! Experienced or not, anyone's appreciated! And it doesn't have to be free labor either, I know how difficult coding can be and I don't want efforts to go unrewarded for my own personal project you might not even care that much about.

Now the character in question! W... uh, something, I'm not settled on a name yet. They're a playable shadow creature, and while their abilities aren't quite set in stone yet I know most of the stuff I potentially wanna do is definitely gonna cause me some issues learning by myself. I've got the ideas, the art ability, and everything except coding expertise. I'm willing to put up with learning how sprites, audio, and whatever else is handled, I just need someone for the gimmicks! I have the opposite problem. I love digging into the code and learning how it works, but I am really bad at the artistic side. Right now I'm still learning how to make a mod in DST, I've only coded one character, but I'd like to help you with your mod so I can learn more without worrying about working on sprites.
