I need help with character mod traits.

So I'm trying to make a character mod for Don't Starve Together but I'm having some trouble finding any tutorials on adding custom traits. I was wondering if anyone here could help or share any guides.

Here are the traits I'm trying to add to my character:

Scared of hounds- is unable to attack hounds, if they try to attack a hound they drop the weapon/tool they are holding, loses sanity while hounds are barking.

Custom items-(This ones kinda a lot so I understand if no one can help with this) Hound trap- a trap that only damaged hounds, Canned food- a food container that keeps food from spoiling but need a tool to be opened. The can breaks after one use.
