I'm dead I guess? Fun, nonetheless.

Hey look at the time, it's story time!
Long ago, a guy broke his foot walking down some stairs. He was injured, and the doctor informed him that he had to rest in his home for 3 months. Evidently, he had lots of time to kill. On his comfy chair, he searched through the internet for weeks, and on. One particular day, he encountered some videos about a rather interesting game. The visuals and the atmosphere of the game fascinated him. The objective of the game was rather simple, it was all about surviving the cruel world. The game spoke to him.

"Don't Starve"

He bought and played the game for hours, and he enjoyed every second of it. It was challenging, yes, but it made him enjoy the game even more. In this game, the uncertainty of the unknown made the entire journey thrilling and exciting. Content with his purchase, he decided to spend some time with others on the internet. Before clicking into the game's forum, he was very hesitant of communicating with others. He was afraid. More specifically, his inexperience with discussion sites caused him to fear participating in the forum. After much time, he decided to jump in. He created an account, and he chose his username as "Snob". Not knowing anyone, he was quiet and infrequent. He met several members, and was careful talking with them. As time went on, he was getting more comfortable with the members of the forum. He had new friends; from bitter to sweet, warm to cold, and dry to greasy, they were all special to him. As he spent the majority of the day on the forum, he felt that the forum meant more than an simple discussion board. It seemed like that the forum warmly embraced him, and he responded by embracing it back. The game and the forum kept him occupied, and he loved it so dearly.

Time went on, and his foot quickly healed. Life was back to its repetitive nature, and the forums were getting irrelevant. As stress and anxiety clogged his life with issues, he decided to stop checking the forums. It was painful, and even more bitter, but he was able to deal with his emotions through spite and ignorance.

Of course, it didn't work very well.

I look back at my account, and I think to myself, I had a great time. The community, as small as it was, made me realize that friendship and trust is extremely important in life. Even though happiness never lasts forever, I can still feel the spark in my heart.
