however it's considered a flying flower (as said earlier by terrorbeak man) and flower =/= meat. also about your argument that plants cannot move around, neither can trees but apparently they can walk around just fine in the form of treeguards. you have to remember this is a game about fiction with magic and stuff, not real life.

I think I agree with but your example is not the greatest because treeguards drop monster meat

probably because butterflies pollinate flowers and there needed to be a way to plant flowers

And thus, for lore reasons, flowers are capable of flying. Seeing as Maxwell made them, and he calls them flying flowers, I think he meant that quite literally.

None of this matters because Wigfrid's diet is meant to present a challenge to the uninitiated player and limit her food options, and letting her eat butterfly wings would subvert those intentions. Period. Throw 100% consistent logic out the window here folks; we're trying to balance a game here.

by that logic, she should also be able to eat petals, cause flowers are alive.

your definition of meat also lacks a crucial detail: the flesh of an animal (especially a mammal) as food.

butterflies aren't mammals, they're insects.

fish is also counted as fish based meat which wigfrid can eat. its not about mammals. butterflies of course have meat= protein structures to even have the ability to flap its wings. But all this doesnt really matter because its a game. real life logic doesnt stand a chance against game logic in a game.

Lore-wise, remember that when you plant butterflies in the ground they turn into flowers. Also, butterfly wings are an ingredient in butter muffins, a largely vegetable/grain-based food that she can't/won't eat.

That's pretty strong evidence that she treats butterflies and their wings more like plants.

Doesn't explain why she's okay eating leafy meat though, so v(o~o)v
