I'm guessing it might've switched to both the winter variant and the Poison birchnut tree at the same time? Normally a Poison Birchnut would just revert to a first stage tree. No clue, really. shrugs I think i saw this Poison Birchnut just before i left from the base(it had leaves),so it just dropped its leaves while still being the Poison variant.
