FutureJohny
Hello, it might seem to some of you like too obvious thing to ask, but what is the reason I should fix broken pipes? In my curent base, I had my water freeze in my cooler room. My initial thought was, it will interupt the flow and break even more pipes, but water was flowing steadily through the broken pipe without issue or any noticable leaks. This gave me idea to make 1:1 petroleum refinery out of metal refinery and just ignore the single broken pipe on the output. Is there anything stopping me from making this? In fact, why should I fix any of my pipes at all in current version of the game?
KittenIsAGeek
It depends on how badly the pipe is broken. Some will leak, some will stop flow completely. Fixing them is up to you -- but leaving them broken may impair functionality.
Kabrute
I've had the same question about broken buildings, why fix them?
Zarquan
I only see broken gas or liquid pipes leak when the contents change phase (i.e. when they would leak out of fully repaired pipes). As far as I can tell, there is no reason to repair broken pipes at this time. I bet in the future, they will leak everywhere though.
Kabrute
So far it causes the contents to leak out and sometimes be deleted altogether (Lost 120kg of oil this way) it just flooded right on into the broken section of pipe poofing out of existence so be careful O.o
