FalconLover Posted October 5, 2017 Share Posted October 5, 2017 I had 0 sanity and ventured into the caves but the shadows started attacking me even though I didn't even attack them first. Then when I went back to the overworld, they became neutral again. Why is this happening? also, while I'm here. I have another quick question. studkid Posted October 18, 2017 Share Posted October 18, 2017 Were you near a nightmare fissure while in the caves? They spawn in stalagmite biomes and pretty much everywhere in the ruins. They are cracks in the ground with light shining through them. When the nightmare cycle is active, hostile shadow monsters will spawn from i whether you are insane or not. It probably bypasses No Sweat’s shadow monster restriction too. Also the ruins should have have been in the game from the release, don’t see why it wouldn’t unless caves weren’t implemented when it was released.
