The interesting stuff of this idea could actually be included into the game, by simply adding a carnivourous plant requiring meat instead of fertilizer. Upside down tile. Growing from the ceiling. Initial growth cycle 12 - After this the plant develope a carnivourus appetite. Harvest every 4 cycles. Require 1 meat/dupe pr. growth period or there will be no fruit. (Dupes are only eaten accidentally) Every growth period gives 4 - 8 fruits. Depends on balancing and how they make farming work in the future. A plant that could eat your dupes if you are not carefull. But only when it is hungry. It could be planted in an upside down planter box and the art could be based on the natural specimen linked below. It would require a meat source of some kind though. BlueLance Posted August 2, 2017 Share Posted August 2, 2017 I think a Venus flytrap might be better? a pitcher plant usually requires something to fall into it (Insects, Mice, toads) but in some cases faeces from an animal which licks the nectar above. So feed it polluted dirt if its a pitcher plant? Venus flytrap would be awesome cuz it could lay down flat and snap closed when a dupe walks on it or places food on it XD or make it like the plant from the Sims. A sundew would also be pretty cool, it could stick to the dupe and start curling in (During this time the dupe has a similar affect to being entombed) if left for too long the dupe dies? x4550 Posted August 2, 2017 Share Posted August 2, 2017 It would be hilarious to find a dupe being digested by a tree, making the "entombed" sounds - like a boa constrictor swallowing its prey. Little did she know that it would grow eyes and start watching her every time she watered the seedlings...
