Succesfull Crop farm builds and 1 mio. fridge (Yay what a Great game. Loving it :-)

Recommended Posts

After hours of hours of playing.

I thought I would share some builds.

Like fridges farms with excellent crop yield.

Heated Pincha Pepper Plant Farm

Bristle Blossom Farm small and efficient

Bristle Blossom Farm with Cooling

Big Fridge 1 Million Calories

Water cooling Tower

Awesome Farming. Cant wait for the refining processes and steam generators and stuff like. Maybe nuclear power ;). Radiation Biome.

Waterfalls massively increase the heat exchange between water and air, thus making it a lot easier to cool down the water.

I knew that, I was just wondering why they are so tall no there's no weezeworts anywhere. (Also the waterfall cooling only works because of a bug).

You'll know you have a big fridge when the calories go to a negative number ;)

happens once you hit 2,148,000 cals

I would really recommend using liquid cooling rather than gas cooling - especially for things like bristle blossoms - make good use of the fact polluted water has a -20.6 degree freezing temp.

And remember : the larger the room, the more gas pressure, and the more material in there (i.e. piping, wires/bridges/metal of any form) - the less chance for temperature spikes from the crops actually growing.

Good work though bud :)

You like your waterfalls, what are you using them for?

Yeah I do :). Its a heat exchanger between water and gas pipes. The water is pumped around the room after cooling.
It gives an even temperature in the room.

Actually I discovered that completely encasing gas pipes and liquid pipes together in Granite gives almost the same amount of heat transfer.
But using waterfalls instead saves on the amount of liquid pipes. And it makes a waterfall yay ;).

Lately I noticed a bug. When they harvest. The oxygen is removed from the room and it requires a very large amount of new oxygen to be pumped in to maintain pressure.

I really wish I could make Wolfram gas pipes. Would be so much more efficient.

Here is some Polluted Oxygen to Pure Oxygen processing facillities :D. Power cost is about 1 kw each.

These will do 300 g. liquid oxygen pr. second for the small one.

And 500 g. liquid oxygen pr. second for the big one :D.
