Millertime
Hey all - new to the game and the forums. After playing a bit and learning I started over to try some new things. After digging out a little in each direction I find that I have cold biomes immediately to my upper right and left. I have hot biome on my right and pockets of gas below and above me. Should I just restart rather than try to work through this? Do startups like this happen often?
bountygiver
the abbysalite should stop the heat from messing with your base before you dig them. Cold biomes are alright, you can start with them and get your sleet wheat farms rolling as they will be your main food source once you run out of mealwood and muckroo
goodtams
I would say work through it, however without a screenshot it's hard to call. You'll always have neighbouring biomes which will require some adaptation on your part.
Mutineer
I found that for me at least most difficult start when I can not find any cool bioms next to me. How can the hell one get rid of heat early on without them? And heat will kill my plants.
