The highs for the next week or so are in the mid-twenties. #2Hot4Me

Summer temperatures have been known to reach 48 C.
There is also the days when the humidity and the heat combine to make you melt.
I actually like winter- its the cold feet that bother me the most and the fact that i have no winter clothes. Mostly because I am too broke to buy any- joys of being a penniless writer.

And I gotta agree with you, I hate Summer, love Winter.

Mainly because I'm not sweating my skin off, and the nights are longer. I don't like sunlight, I prefer the cover of night.

About exploding things...

Some of the fireworks apparently fell over while launching, so a few of them flew towards the observers, rather than into the sky. We had some fireworks exploding uncomfortably close, but no one was hurt or anything.

So that was exciting.

How come it seems that virtually no one on this forum is American!

How come it seems that virtually no one on this forum is from New Zealand!

Honestly I think there are heaps of Americans on this forum, they just aren't very active.

Born and raised ^_^

Atm, NZ's not in the best shape but I hope that'll change in the elections this year.

I am going to follow a great australian tradition now.

Since you are awesome we are going to declare you aren't from NZ but are actually Australian now and always have been.

So you Americans are you having fun exploding things and celebrating?

July 1st was Canada day, yet people continued to detonate sparkling bombs on the 2nd... and 3rd... and 4th... and 5th...

I also wasn't fond of the day our neighbors [if you can call the house behind ours that] decided it was a good idea to set off large fireworks really low in their small backyard, right next to our small backyard, with wooden fences and trees all around.
