StayUpThere
Bug Submission:Category: SoundPlatform: PCIssue Title: Music IssuesIssue Description: First I would like to say good game! But I had a serious problem. If I have the music on it constantly makes static sounds every like 2-3 seconds. But when I turn music volume on 0 through the game menu it goes away. So yes the problem is linked to the music. I don't know if it is just my PC but I doubt it because this is the only game I have that problem with. I am sorry I cant provide more information.I do not want to play with the music off because what I did hear of the sound track was good without all the static. Steps to Reproduce: All I did was launch the game and started up tutorial or story mode and the music made a bunch of static noise every couple of seconds. The problem went away upon turning the music down to 0.

Developer Wade Posted August 20, 2014 Developer Share Posted August 20, 2014 We're having trouble re-creating this issue in-house here at Klei. For those of you who are having this issue, can we get you to please post your DXDIAG results for us? DXDiagIn order to get a DXDiag on WindowsXP or more recent operating systems:Click on your Start buttonPress the Windows key + R on your keyboard to access the "Run" windowOn the new window, type in dxdiag.exe and press enter; this will open up the DirectX diagnostic toolClick on the "Save All Information" tab on the diagnostic toolA "Save As..." window will pop up where you can click on save. It will save your hardware information as a document to your desktop (default).Close the diagnostic tool and attach the new document to your forum post or support ticket. Thanks, hopefully the information from the reports will help us get to the bottom of what could be causing it!

X3n0cide
I have also experienced sound issues, specifically static. I believe they are related to the extra sound effects. The problems seem to be intermittent on my machine. The background music plays well every time, but some times I hear static and none of the other random sound effects in rooms/levels (mario brother music, random beeping and the like). For the most part the static only happens at the start of a level and for me went away. I have attached my DxDiag.txt file from today 8/27/2014. This is an awesome game thanks guys. Cheers.DxDiag.txt
