Tying up loose ends

Its time for me to leave, I've got lots of new things to do.... Work, socialise, work again the cycle goes on and the amount of spare time i have is getting shorter and shorter as thus I want to tie up a few loose ends before my final departure:

My writing thread with @Unsound Mind as my colleague:

I'm going to need someone to pick up the writing on this as I don't feel it should end just since I've gone.

I have a list of things that have been done to help anyone willing to continue it:

List of DS animals with field notes written;

- Bees
- Spiders
- Tallbird
- Crow
- Slurper
- Merms
- pigmen
- Werepig
- pigking
- Beefalo
- mosquito
- Deerclops

- Batalisk

And my largest apologies to the U&A team, to whom I wish luck and success, maybe the mod can see sunlight soon!

 (I'll just edit this and summon @simplex @debugman18 )

I would love to continue helping out in U&A but unfortunately I don't think I'll be able too any more.

after the writing thread has been handled and the U&A team fully informed, I'll be gone

@23rd @Mack18853

you both have a knack for writing, so I give you both a small challenge to see who will get the role;

write a field note on: Chester

no need to make it too long, just about the length of my shorter notes will do

I'll decide based upon that. take your time, I'll check back soon enough

I hate to admit it but I've never seen your field notes, and searching for them hasn't yielded me anything. Could I have a link?

You linked it in your OP, I feel dumbtarded.

Chester

Finally, something that doesn't seem to exist solely to attack everything around it! For once I can give a proper description without having to fend for my life at the same time.

Like the Hounds, Chester's closest real-world comparison has to be a canine. However, unlike the Hounds, Chester's personality is more like a common house pet than a wolf. He loyally follows whoever carries his eye-bone.

His fur is orange and surprisingly clean for something that lives out in the wilderness. His large, hollow stomach is perfect for storing important items in as though he were some sort of chest, and his rounded teeth make reaching in a completely non-threatening procedure.

I haven't had the chance to see him in any habitat besides where I've gone, he always appears from where I can't see him when I pick up the eye-bone. Chester lacks any sort of eyes, which leads me to the assumption that the eye on top of his bone is his primary means of sight.

In conclusion: A good traveling partner in this unforgiving world. Being able to keep more items on hand is always handy and the comfort of having a friend by your side cannot be understated.

Chester

Whilist searching for food, I noticed a strange object shaped like a bone, but with horns and a cycloptic eye. When I picked it up, a pumpkin orange furry creature came out, resembling a dog.

Much like a dog, Chester follows wherever I go as long as I have the "Eye Bone." It does not seem to attack the owner, unlike the hounds, which will attack anything in their path. He/she can carry up to 9 items at a time.

If Chester is carrying 1 nightmare fuel per slot, he will change into "Nightmare Chester," on a full moon night. Nightmare Chester can carry 3 more items in his slots. I will have to experiment with more items to see what species of Chesters I will receive.

Chester does not gave any sort of defense mechanism, other than pigs, beefalos, and smallbirds. He/she is completely vulnerable to any sort of attack, especially if it is very gentle. If killed, you can leave the Eye Bone on the ground, and he will be resurrected.

In conclusion:

Chester is the best friend anyone in this world can have. Unlike pigs and smallbirds, he lasts forever.
