I am one of those people who plays DST not only for great adventures and opportunities, but also for the sake of doing beautiful construction. Probably construction is a priority for me. And I'm sure it's not just for me. At the moment we have a lot of tools for creating original and beautiful bases, but this is not enough for me Stone, moon and even thulicite walls have their own skins, but grass and wood walls are unfortunately bypassed for now. I fantasized a little on this topic and drew several types of skins for these walls. In the future, I plan to fantasize about turf, some buildings, items of clothing that do not yet have a skin, as well as items that are not in the game, but could appear

Hello! Me being the curious me had the idea to try on custom walls, nothing fancy really, just different types of wood walls, that being 'plank walls', 'glass plank walls' and 'log walls', here's the illustration example: Now what is the issue you might ask? You see...on the making of a template to use to make the walls, for some reason the anim is junked up, and it doesn't keep its proper size, this is what happens. When facing one side, it is on full size, when turning to the other, its on medium. My tampering with the prefab has proven to do nothing, so I can only assume it has more than just the prefab coordinates, issue is. I don't have much of an idea. I would super appreciate if anyone gave me a hand!

I've managed to make walls completely indestructible, except by a player's hammer. Hooray! BUT! Now if they are in the attack area of a Rook/Bearger/Weatherpain then after that they can no longer be hammered.. If I restart the server then they can be hammered again, until they are in one of the previous attacks.. Any ideas? walls.zip

Actually, to make a stone wall, you need 2 Cut Stone, which costs six stones. You will always get one stone back from destroying a wall, and you get six stone walls for every two cut stones, I.E. as long as you don't reinforce walls, you will be able to place and replace walls. (Assuming the stone required for building a hammer is not an issue)

Hello the following are some Ideas that might be interesting to see developed into the game.Hair - this is an idea i was thinking of in which all characters can cut hair to create a meat effigy i.e. Willow/Wendy can shorten their hair, Wolfgang can shave his mustache, Wes can cut ear hair (for humor) etc. now although this would get rid of Wilson's special ability he could be given something in return such as faster hair growth than other characters, or takes longer for starvation etc.Bridges - this could be a new structure the character can build (like walls and can be built with different materials as well) to reach other areas not easily reached through other means (have been stuck on an island before, with only way off is to loose sanity from wormhole).This one is not a suggestion but a problem I have with walls, When trying to build a wall near edge of land (where water meets land) it seems impossible/near impossible to build the wall.I hope these are decent Suggestions/problems that you perhaps like and implement into the game and perhaps in the future i will have more suggestions to try and help the game.Night

Werepigs despise walls. Around day 166 I got bored enough to completely surround my pig houses in walls (mostly to protect them from the mating beefalo,) and one night one of the pigs didn't make it back to his house before the moon came out. I started hearing the sounds of walls being smashed, and worried the werepig was trying to break through the walls to get to my campfire. No, he actually decided it was a much better use of his time to smash down all of his own walls in a line, including following any curves or bends in the wall. He wasn't targeting me at all. Is this intended? Certainly werepigs should smash through walls to reach the player, but are they meant to aggressively target the walls if nothing else is near, or is this just a side effect of the walls having HP?

Seeing this: made me worried. Krampus is easily my favorite character in the game so far and I don't want him to go away. Never knowing when exactly he will come and try and steal your stuff is great. Please don't let him get removed. Anyone else that likes him can make their voices heard. Save Krampus 2012

Ever since i started playing i've thought that the game needed defensive structures mainly walls with durrability. here are some of my ideas. Walls Walls will block creatures and will lose durrability when attacked, aggresive creatures will randomly attack walls and will attack them if they're angry at a player on the other side if there is no other way to get to them. Fence requires logs and sticks. Decorative, players, hounds, and spiders can go though. Basic Wall requires rocks and logs. Low durrability, Flamable. Basic Gate requires rocks and logs. Low durrability, Flamable, players can go through. Advanced Wall requires cut stone and planks. Good durrability, Fireproof. Advanced Gate requires cut stone and planks. Good durrability, Fireproof, players can go through. Gold Wall requires cut stone and gold nuggets. High durrability, Fireproof. Gold Gate requires cut stone and gold nuggets. High durrability, Fireproof, players can go through. Turrets Turrets will attack aggresive creatures that come within range of it. they need to be mounted on a turret base/tower, the turret is destroyed if the base is destroyed or it runs out of durrability. aggresive creatures will make attemts to destroy the turret if attacked by one. Basic Turret Base requires rocks and logs. Low durrability, Flamable. Advanced Turret Base requires cut stone and planks. Good durrability, Fireproof. Gold Turret Base requires cut stone and gold nuggets. High durrability, Fireproof. Harpoon Turret requires Spear, cut stone, planks, and gold. Shoots spears at aggresive creatures, low damage, slow reload. Fire Turret requires Red gem, cut stone, charcoal, and gold. Shoots a burst of fire at aggresive creatures, fire damage, medium reload, Will set things on fire! Tooth Turret requires Teeth (alot), cut stone, planks, and gold. Shoots teeth at aggresive creatures, low damage, Fast reload. Net Turret requires Silk (alot), cut stone, planks, and gold. will slow down or immobilize aggresive creatures, no damage, Very slow reload. Pinecone Turret requires pinecones (alot), Logs, planks, and gold. will shoot pinecones at aggresive creatures, very low damage, medium reload - Suggested by CaptKnuckles -Maybe the turrets will need to be manned by a player or pigman. -an ammunition system would be good too, like you open it like a chest and put ammo inside. this gives the harpoon turret, which is very cheap, a small disadvatage to having one since spears arn't stackable. making it so then you want to upgrade to the expensive ones. As food may be scarce for some people (Especially meats,) Some might not want to employ the help of a "Pig," or find it too risky to capture bees for a "Bee Mine." So why not consider a third defense option? Walls. So, maybe, with a few boards (or a vast number of stones in this case,) we could create a wall of some kind to defend our camps from the evil boars/spiders/tallbirds of the night. I have a few bad experiences with board charging into my camp and killing me out of nowhere in the middle of the night, and scaring the living daylights out of me. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Graphics] Platform Steam Version Number - Issue title Game playing slow/choppy. Steps to reproduce Just playing. Describe your issue I've been playing this game since mid November. Game played like a dream at first. The first bit of choppiness started right after the Nov 27 update. Since then it has gotten increasingly worse. My game file is day 120 something, and I have done much to change the landscape since the generated map at the beginning. (i.e. planting and moving berry bushes and grasses/ building pig houses) Not sure if that could cause the game to slow down, but it's such a bummer to play now! My girlfriend and I both love this game too much to just throw it to the side. Please help! We're operating on a Dual Core Pentium i processor 945 w/ a GeForce 9600 GT Graphics Card. Not sure how that translates from the Radeon, but I feel it should be more than enough since we play games like Skyrim and The Secret World, no problem. Thank You For Your Time, Nathan

I bought the game a while back and the main thing I think could be improved is the 'base' idea, where you set it up and improve it. Being a crappy games dev myself I know walls dont take much time to implement and I think it would benefit the game a lot.
