Hey everyone, I wanted to share my design for taming hot steam vents, I always saw a potential in taming them and now I went and made that a reality and I'm happy with the results. I would love to hear what you think about it.
Suggestion: Automated Vent that can be disabled by logic and can be set to any 'max pressure' value up to 5Kg. Reasons: Normal vents do not work reliably in certain environments, for example my normal 2kg vent overpressured my base to 3kg, because small packets of carbon dioxide were passing by very often (at least I think it was the cause, oxyferns don't produce that much oxygen and neglectable amount of polluted oxygen was converted). Having externally controlled vent will fix the issue We obviously can use controlable valves, but they are not ideal for a number of situations (a bit of gas will get to vent either way and they need infrastructure to work and I had to deconstruct vents quite a few times because they can't be turned off) There are situations where player needs finer control or/and reaction speed. Or at least player can come up with such situations) I'm fairly sure this is easy to implement for noticeable benefit (flexibility). 2Kg vents to 20Kg vents is too much of a jump

Have you ever tried to carefully dig out a portion of a vent to identify it, only to have your idiot dupes release the full fury of a volcano on your base? If so, you are not alone. Presenting Nick's Custom POI's, Vents, and Volcanoes!!! All of these POI ruins are encased in (artistically) melted rare or manufactured materials. The Neural/Gene machines are more plentiful. All lockers contain the warm/cool protective clothing. All of the vents and volcanoes are easily identifiable without uncovering them. I had originally included a file that would auto populate them into the world, but the launch/testing version is ever changing. Maybe when ONI has "solidified" I will create a proper mod (if someone else doesn't beat me to it). That being said, please feel free to use/share/modify these files as you wish. It would be nice if you gave me some props though. I've also included YAMLs for all of the creatures (plants and animals). Nick's YAMLs.rar
