Shard configuration mod Shard configuration mod allows server admins to make migration links between their individual servers/worlds/shards. This mod is made for dedicated servers and has no use in standart Don't Starve Together worlds created in client. This mod is also not needed if your dedicated servers run only two worlds/shards in one cluster (default connections works fine for 2 worlds/shards). If you are server admin and you want more than 2 connected worlds this is mod for you! After all servers are set up and online and simulation on them is paused, when first player connects to any server and simulation is unpaused the mod will set up portals in the world to be linked to other worlds. This mod uses standart 10 sinkholes generated in the world. If you manually create more, they will be used after server restart. If you want more than 10 connections from/to one world you have to create new sinkholes/stairs. Sinkholes not used are turned off and plugged. Steam workshop Mod is available on steam workshop How to setup this mod I created default preconfigured cluster with 3 shards. You can modify it as you wish. Download it here: DefaultCluster.zip Since mod version 1.10 it is also possible to create single directional connections. New mod setting called "OneWayConnections" was created which contains world that should be connected unidirectionally. Example mod overrride settings below: ["workshop-595764362"] = { enabled = true, configuration_options = { ["Connections"] = { ["1"] = { "11", "12" }, -- bidiractional between 1-11 and 1-12 ["11"] = { "12" } -- bidirectional between 11-12 }, ["OneWayConnections"] = { ["1"] = { "12", "12" } -- two unidirectional connections from 1 to 12 } } } Since mod version 2.0 the slave shards can synchronize connection data from master. Slave shards will ignore connection data in their modoverrides.lua. This behaviour can be disabled by setting SyncWithMaster to false of all shards. Shard config util I created an util to create modoverrides.lua that configures this mod. Create shards, set their shard_id. Create connections between shards and set connection count. Save it and you have modoverrides.lua which will work with this mod. You still have to include other mods you want to use. Also supports one way connections. This util is running in .NET 4.0 and won't start without it! The util is available for download from these forums by "Download this file" on the right. -
Finally got myself to update my mod for shard connection configuration to use netvars to synchronize connection data from master shard. Now only master shard needs to have connection data and slaves will get it when player connects. Thanks to lpsquiggle for telling me (more then a year ago) about netvars and for many nightmares i had because of them.

Islands of Corruption A Roleplay by gloryKAT A strange force is slowly corrupting the islands where Maxwell's prisoners are kept. They are slowly growing bored of his prisoners and Their corruption is slowly being used to corrupt the elements of the islands in order to provide a new source of entertainment. They have demanded that Maxwell bring new prisoners that will provide more entertainment, those with will and spirit instead of those who stay hidden away to fight their battles another day. New prisoners, tricked by the promise of new powers and the like, flood in from everywhere. These new entertainers prove to be a valuable source of entertainment, but Their corruption is still in effect, bringing odd changes to the land, including frequent hound attacks, odd weather changes, and sometimes even odd new species of creatures. One example of this corruption is an unnamed subspecies of hound, which is larger and more powerful than a normal hound. These hounds are fast, and hence, not many have seen them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rules of the Roleplay: No godmodding. If this happens, you will be warned. No switching from characters that have not been created yet. [ex. She ran away, the wind suddenly circling a small tree. Name: Shard Age: 17 (age counted in human years) Gender: Female Species: Hound (with wings of fire) Appearance: http://i43.tinypic.com/qrj8qt.jpg History: Shard was once a human with a different name. One day, while in her house, she was promised special powers... something that would make her different from everyone else... something that would make her special. Little did she know that these special powers were not the powers she imagined... and she was sent to the world of Don't Starve as a hound, with a form of special powers: wings, covered in fire. Personality: Shard is somewhat shy, but tries not to be. When she is trying to overcome her fear of people, she is often very friendly. However, as she is a hound, she is occasionally shunned, which only benefits her shyness. Abilities: Shard did get her special powers from the promise, wings. However, because of the fact that her wings are on fire, she must be careful around flammable objects such as trees and bushes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
