[UPDATED] Physical Megapack Disc Issues   04/16/2018

UPDATE: Earlier this week, we discovered that the wrong content was printed on the PS4 retail version of Don’t Starve Mega Pack (the Xbox One version is not affected). It’s a really unfortunate situation and we’ve been working hard with 505 to resolve this as soon as possible. Below is the latest information: New copies are currently in print and will be on shelves ASAP, hopefully within a few weeks. When the new discs arrive in stores, players who already purchased misprinted discs will be able to exchange the disc for a new one in store. Details will follow as we figure out the exact timing, the procedures with specific retailers and what the exchange will entail.  Players who already purchased the faulty disc will also be able to contact Klei support for a voucher code that includes Don't Starve, Shipwrecked and the Reign of Giants DLC until the new disc is ready. Please specify your country as certain vouchers only work in certain regions.  We will have more details when they become available including details on contacting us and what information we might need.  Once again, thanks to everybody for their patience while we work this out. For questions or concerns, the forum discussion can be found below:

PORTUGUÊS: Olá, eu sou o Won & Only e esse é um mod para tradução em Português do Brasil do Don't Starve. Por enquanto, apenas Wilson, Wolfgang, Wickerbottom, Wigfrid e Walani tiveram suas falas completamente traduzidas. O mod será atualizado aos poucos. O mod esteve inativo desde o dia 17, e continuará assim até o dia 30, pois estive muito ocupado recentemente. Desculpa pessoal. ENGLISH: Hello, I'm Won & Only and I am uploading a Brazilian Portuguese translation mod for Don't Starve. For now, only Wilson, Wolfgang, Wickerbottom, Wigfrid and Walani had their quotes completely translated. The mod will be updated gradually.
  2. During my game play of Don't Starve (RoG), I've used the wonderful Old Bell and Pan Flute/Ice Staff strategy to deal with the giants. When I received the warning about Dragonfly coming, I quickly went as far as my base as possible. I ended up in the Desert near the Ocean. Since I was prepared, I quickly used the Pan Flute to make Dragonfly fall asleep then I used the Old Bell near it. To my surprise, Big Foot's first stomp landed on Dragonfly. This was surprising because it is usually Big Foot's second or third stomp that lands on a mob. I did the same thing to Dragonfly again and guess what? Big Foot's first stomp landed on Dragonfly again. The final time I used the Pan Flute and Old Bell on Dragonfly, It was Big Foot's third stomp that landed on Dragonfly, thus killing her. I started to wonder if being near the Ocean was the reason why Big Foot's first stomp landed on Dragonfly. I then created a new world, put myself in creative mode, went to the nearest Ocean, spawned Dragonfly, put her to sleep with the Pan Flute and used the Old Bell. Big Foot's first stomp landed on Dragonfly as I suspected it would. I tried it 9 more times with different giants. 4 out of the 9 times, Big Foot's second stomp landed on the a giant because Big Foot came from the Ocean on the opposite side. I was correct. If the player used the Old Bell near the Ocean, there was a chance that Big Foot's first stomp would land on the targeted mob. Did anyone else notice this? Edit It wasn't Big Foot's first stomp that landed on the giants. It was actually it's third stomp. I discovered it was because the Big Foot's first and second stomps don't appear on on the land but the Ocean instead. This is still a useful strategy for using the Old Bell on a mob that is near the Ocean. Since Big Foot's first and second stomp don't appear on land when near the ocean, players can use this to their advantage as the sleeping mob won't hear Big Foot coming until the third stomp which will hit the mob before it has a chance to run away. TL;DR Using the Old Bell near the Ocean causes Big Foot to not alert nearby mobs as the first two stomps are directly on on the Ocean. This means that mobs won't be able to react to Big Foot coming as its third stomp will damage the mobs.

  7. Industrial Resolution

    Version 3.1

    58,715 downloads

This mod introduces electricity and machinery to Don't Starve Do you want to fight Maxwell? Do you want to show the shadows who's boss? No revolution is complete without Coal and Electricity! If you agree with the above point, then this mod is like made for you. It introduces electricity and machinery to Don't Starve, without (wanting to) ignore its amazing feel of uncertainity and artistic developement. Modules Unlike most mods, this one is split up into several modules. As such, you can install the parts you want and don't need the rest! Furthermore, updating is easier. And of course this allows for third-party modules, the Treeslacoil by @Corrosive for instance. The following official modules are currently available: BASE brings electricity itself. This is the core mod, you need to install it. CRAFTWORKS allows advanced crafting. Being cheaper, but more complicated, this mod is ideal for whoever is concerned about resource management. UTILITY is tool- and survival-orientated. It offers electric alternatives for most basic elements needed to stay alive. MILITARY brings weapons, armour and miscellanious combat entities. This is what you want if you came here thinking of laser guns, power fists and electric fence. Robotics is not functional. Use at your sole discretion. Documentation If you install and enable Tomes of Knowledge, you can find or craft an in-game guide. It magically scientifically expands with updates. It should give you the idea, and is highly recommended. For more detailed information, read the changelogs or the source code. The old documentation thread is here. You might enjoy reading this story as well. Compatibility All modules are compatible with DS base and DS RoG. They are also compatible with ShipWrecked, though some things might not work, as this is not a high priority. DST support is possible in future but unlike as it stands. Industrial Resolution includes minor World Generation stuff and edits some game objects. In general, it should be 100% compatible with any other mod. If you notice problems in this regard, please do not hesitate to inform me! This modpack supports the following mods: Hack the Planet (options for electricitiy) Tomes of Knowledge (guide book) Steam Biome Up & Away (Storm Choke and Cloud Centrifuge become available, including ToK pages) If you want to see more cross-mod, tell me please! Credits I want to thank the following people for helping in the creation of Industrial Resolution: @Folthan for drawing the LED and giving me that software @NoobModder for drawing several IRM objects @Estel for praise and feedback @Mikeloeven for telling me to just do it and giving me that other software All users who suggested content or changes for their interest You for reading all of this and being (presumably) awesome

Feedback & Suggestions Please feel free to leave me feedback/suggestions about: - Crashes, typos or errors - Balance issues (they're meant to be hard to make, since their perma-light is powerful) - Power/feature suggestions - Coding (is there a more efficient way to go about these things)
  10. Painted Pig Houses

    Version 1.0.0

    318 downloads

Pig houses will now come in a variety of colours - muted red, green, purple, blue and grey, as well as the standard plain wood. These colours are random for all pig houses in the world, generated, spawned or built. These colours are meant to be subtle, in keeping with the game's style - if you're interesting in other colours please post your ideas in the suggestions forum. You do not need to regenerate your world to see this mod. The colours should stay the same on saving/reloading your game. [STEAM VERSION]

IT'S FINALLY HAPPENED. This piece'a crap took nearly forever, and, in all honesty, i'm fuckin' excited for this ****s release. And who is the genius whom coded in literally all of War's functions? Why, that man is @DarkXero! This man had coded in an enormous amount of code and i honestly can't thank him enough. But onto its special abilities now! War's pro's: *War can not only continuously sail on water, but he creates waves during the process! *War is able to literally go out of bounds (going too far may cause a crash, just sayin') *War has the ability to trample over things, just like giants! *War is able to devour everything and anything *War is a living divining rod (press G to toggle that function) *War never freezes nor burns *War can't overheat nor get cold *War has night-vision *War doesn't get hurt and his health is literally gibberish *War does not starve *War does not lose sanity *War does not inflict pain when it comes to small weaklings *War does not flinch upon being hit by monkey **** *War is not effected by spider webs *War can literally kill the master on the throne *War has a custom intro! *War will be struck by lightning upon moving from world-to-world! *War is a killing machine *Custom Maxwell intros for all 6 chapters! *War's ability to become a living divining rod will automatically trigger in adventure mode *War has 3 extra inventory slots War's con's: *War cannot equip any items *War will inflict pain upon being hit by Giants *Upon throne death, the world gets immensely ****** up *War does not speak *War can't sleep, similarly to Wickerbottom *War can't use items for anything but to eat them *Upon throne death, War will be constantly hunt down by them *War has seen some **** I guess you could say that this fag has 2 purposes. 1. it makes life easier for those whom suck at don't starve. e.g. me. 2. its coding could be used for those whom aren't so skilled at coding when makin' a mod i guess. But again, i cannot thank @DarkXero enough. What makes me even more thankful is how all of these functions were done by him and only him. i'm not even exaggerating. i was surprised and baffled how he had the patience to stay by my side with this mod from beginning to end. i genuinely am honored to have been able to work with this man, and i really wish to make this man about as happy as i. so please, give this man some recognition and some praise by following him. please, i beg of you. P.S. special thanks to Deeyadee. please go watch her through deviantart for doing War's banner in the bigportrait file: http://deeyadee.deviantart.com/
