  1. Its has been thrice now that I have found crude oil on the floor near the printing pod as shown in the image below. I cant figure out why. Has this happened with any body else ?. The pod has never printed crude oil. The temp in the area is around 25 degrees. Even if dupes carrying crude oil drop it, it should be in a bottle. Pls help.
  2. Hello guys! (•ω•) So the devs just improved the fancy bioprint machine Printing Pod. Yeah, a it’s a great thanks. A very good secondary function. So what we can get from printing pods are just, ‘genetically ordinery’ duplicants. Isn’t there should be something better? Today I think I’ll just add something more on the printing pod, improving it’s function. Here I briefly introduce my idea - Printing Pod Modules. Modules are some small parts that can be connected to the printing pod that enhances its function, or in other word, gives it a upgrade. It connects to the pod lilke this: It does also mean you have to build modules along the printing pod. (Sorry for the poorly drawn printing pod.) Here are some ideas of the modules. Chromosome Module to increase duplicant genetics variety and increase the chance for genetically better duplicant. CPU Module to increase number of choices available with the cost of increased recharging time. Recharger Module to reduce recharge time with the cost of reduced item yield from printing and a small chance of defected genes in duplicants. Amplifier Module to increase item yield from printing with the cost of recharging time. Corpse Recycling Module to turn dead duplicant back alive, if they are not buried for long. However recycling a corpse will reset the recharge. Ooze Reprocessing Module allowing you to print two entities with the cost of doubled recharging time, but must fulfill the pre-condition of filling it with genetic ooze. Comments please! (•ω•)
  3. I love the fact that the printing pod can now print stuff like Algua, critters in addition of duplicants. But, in the early stage of the game where someone may want to expand their population with every print opportunity, we could lose a valuable duplicant option because it is replaced with an object printing option. So, I would suggest that either we always get 3 duplicants and maybe something else or that we could select on the pods if we are seeking for objects or duplicants only. Heck, the time for the printer could even be different depending on the option selected (like recipes).
  4. Branch: Quality of life Beta 2. Current situation: Dupes are not grouped together, items can get in between the group of dupes. See screenshot. Improved situation: Dupes are grouped together, the item is on its own in the right side of the selection screen. Rationale for change: Currently: it's harder to compare the dupes, because the item can get in the way of the grouping. Making it so the dupes are always grouped together makes it easier to compare the dupes traits/stats.
  5. With the new update (that runs quite smoothly actually), I noticed that the "Print" a duplicant button is under the "Reject All" duplicants. Could they be switched so the Print button, that should be used more often, be on top of the two?
  6. A short suggestion. Currently the Printing Pod choices can be simply reset by save-loading (even if you saved after looking at them), which let's you endlessly reload the game to get an army of useful dupes. And also that kinda reduces the replay value. The easy way to mitigate this effect is to tie the Printing Pod choices to the World Seed. This effectively means that the sequence of dupes that will be available at Printing Pod is generated at the game start together with rest of the World.
