  1. Yesterday, I started my dedicated server. The server was 1 month offline and this error happend in the Master:server_log.txt So I started my another server but this server is on another computer. This server was online a few days back, and the same error happend... I need help. Thank you in advance
  2. Hey there, ladies and gents. I've tried many things to fix this, but my auto compiler isn't making any .zip files for my WIP mod. I've tried fixing this problem myself in various ways for at least a dozen hours straight at this point. I have recently attempted to make a mod, a simple weapon/tool mod, and after some time I got it to eventually load with the game, only problem is: it doesn't display anything in hand or on the ground when dropped.   6. I've been trying to make a working mod for a few days now (Very simple premise, just re-illustrate a design for a weapon) , so I'll lay this trial and error down, 1.) Found a Mod on Steam I'd Use as template a.) Link HERE 2.) Opened the .zip files 3.) Converted the .tex files into .png files using Matt's Tools 4.) Used Photoshop to edit the .png files to what I wanted them to look like, keeping the dimmensions 5.) Used Matt's Tools to convert the .png files back into .tex files 6.) Re-.ziped the files 7.) Finallized by placing file into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods 8.) Lauched game, made a game with ONLY that mod (the one I had just reillistrated) 9.) Crafted said item, doesn't show, and had a glitched image when held in cursor: a.) Here b.) And here 10.) Wondered if it was original mod 11.) Launched another game with only the original mod I used as a template 12.) No problems, worked fine 13.) ????? So, any help would be appreciated, I'll leave the .zip of the mod in question here, maybe someone can find something, Cheers! GladiusTry.zip
  7. I know there are thousands of posts about it, trust me, I have googled it. For 4 days it has refused to work, At first I thought it might have been my connection, but if that was the case, then maybe my connection has serious racism against the uploader because the rest of other internet activities are suffering no issue. This is the log error: ModUploader.log Through looking into the forums for results, I did find this that explains what the error numbers means: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/source-sdk-2013/blob/master/mp/src/public/steam/steamclientpublic.h in my moduploader log, I get this 16:21:08: Progress: Uploading mod data file... 16:21:08: OnShareModFileResult 16:21:08: EResult 25, ffffffffffffffff 16:21:08: EndProgress FAILED: Failed sharing mod data file. 16:21:08: MainFrame::OnPublishComplete FAILED: Failed sharing mod data file. EResult 24, according to the link above means: k_EResultLimitExceeded = 25, // Too much of a good thing As much as I am not really happy with attempting for 4 days and not succeeding, I am also very curious to what it means by // Too much for a good thing. Procedures that I had attempted but failed: 1 Restart Steam 2 Restart Computer 3 Verify Integrity 4 Uninstall and Install 5 Modify mod's version number 6 Modify mod's modinfo 7 double check the mod Thanks in advance for whoever stops to read.

  9. I have been trying to update a mod, and even tried to upload it separately, however, it always gives me the 'Failed sharing mod data file.' It is about 51 mb or such since it includes several characters, checking the log though, it did not say it is too big, nor it is giving me any error that I can see at least, so I am not entirely sure, I might have actually not seen the error, I am no good observer, I am not sure whether it is a connection issue, as I tried yesterday and today, but, I would just love if someone could also check the log, to make sure I am not letting something pass by. if really there is no issue, I will try to upload it from another computer. Thanks to anyone that passes by.
  10. Hi I'm new to the modding scene and I seem to have a problem with a custom character I'm trying to make. Basically I can enable the mod and start up a game right? The custom speech I made for the character works, and everything else works except for the actual character itself. I followed this when making the mod: [Tutorial] Using Extended Sample Character Template by Dleowolf Anyway when I was making the sprite everything looked fine until I got in game and saw that my character still looked like the sample character even though I edited everything. I'm going to post a zip of my mod so if anyone is willing to help can poke around and see what is wrong, thank you, once again I'm terribly new to all of this so help would be appreciated. peter.rar

  12. Here is the error I encountered today. Note that YESTERDAY (!?) everything was working just fine. None of the files or codes have been changed. Just... suddenly an error came. So the purpouse is to not let other people obtain this recipe (unless thet play the same character of course). So... Question is:Why it just stopped working if it was working just fine?How to fix it and how to avoid it in future?
  13. As you can see, crash occurs on missing component "mine" for "trap_teeth". I'm 100% sure that there is no any "RemoveComponent" calls in the code. This component must exist. But for some reason it is missing. How is it possible?

  17. Hey, I recently ran out of my stockpile of food because I decided to not slaughter any more of the fee Beefalo's that are left on my map. So eh, I've got 4 turbo farm plots, and I know of 2 small pig villages. I haven't explored my whole map yet, but I can't explore more right now because I need food first.. So I'm wondering, how do you guys get your food/what is a good way to get some? ~rocket

  20. I recently bought the Humble Bundle that included Shank 2. I can't seem to be able to change resolution in the game, it's just stuck on 640x480. The change resolution option is just grayed out for some reason. I have a Geforce GTX 260, latest drivers and directx installed on windows 7 64bit and I'm running the game in full screen mode. I'm running a very low desktop resolution so fullscreen is the only viable option for me. I really hope there is a fix for this

Steps to reproduce Walk through graveyards Describe your issue I'm not sure if this is on purpose, but when I walk past large graveyards the fog is so heavy I can't see anything at all. I was chased through one by a tallbird and I couldn't see myself or the bird or anything. I could only hear it still chasing me. Well, I closed out of the game and reopened it during writing this and the graveyard didn't have any fog at all. Bug maybe?

TL;DR: Add more elements to the game that come to the player and interfere, but unlike hounds in that they're related to what the player is doing, and not simply occuring on a timer. ========= After playing Don't Starve relentlessly for a couple of days, I've noticed that the game doesn't seem to mind much if I just sit in one place and gather the same resources over and over. The experience is less like scavenging or surviving, and more like moving into a new apartment: after a day or two spent figuring out the convenient places to find food and other necessities, my life settles into a state of predictable stability. Should the gameplay of Don't Starve really be about predictability and stability? From browsing the forums, I see that the devs have tried to deal with this, at least where berry farms are concerned. But what about everything else? Most every resource is infinitely renewable, and therefore friendly to hoarding/turtling/lazing about. How about, instead of trying to painstakingly balance the renewability of resources against a skilled player's ability to hoard, make it so there are things in the world that are also roaming about, trying to survive? The hounds are a great step in this direction: they're not really dangerous, but they clue the player in on the fact that other, worse things will be coming for their hoardings. Here are some illustrative examples of what I mean: -Have a lot of gold? Goblins show up to steal it/kill you. -Have a nice fire with some farm plots? Sasquatch evicts you and makes the place his home. -Been cooking a lot of meat lately? Carnivores migrate into the nearby woods, drawn by the smell. It could even be made so that beefalo will exhaust their supply of food and invade your farm, or that pigmen will eventually be overcome with jealousy over your food and demand a share. The point of all this is to present the player with situations that they have to react to, rather than having the player lounge around day after day, without a sense of direction. Anyways, enjoying the game immensely. I wouldn't call it perfect, but it's surely been well worth my $11.99. Thanks!
