  1. Hello, my name is Mercy. I'm working on a mod character named Gwen, the Faithful whom I'm programming. Whereas I'm hiring an artist to produce the artwork. My main issues are that I don't know how to get a few of the perks finished. As well as need references to characters with some of the other perks. Below I will list my character's perks in detail, with a checklist above the detailed explanation. In addition, I will give a character biography. Character Bio: 150 Health, 150 Hunger, 200 sanity. Has been here before. Hence knows most things about the DST world, as well as aware of the cast of characters. Is a vegetarian and a peace loving person. Hence is against hurting creatures. Is a masochist and amused by her own pain. Is clever with references to other worlds. Green = Done; Purple = Uncertain; Red = Incomplete Has been here before: Can craft Night tools by default. (In Sight tab) Can craft Rickidy Staff by default. (In Sight tab) Knows first science level by default. Still requires level 2 science station. Knows first magic level by default. Still requires level 2 magic station. Cooks in half the time. Picks things in half the time. Un-named Perk: Regenerates health at the cost of hunger, if already damaged. (+2 Health & -1 Hunger per minute) A little bit awry: Is a vegetarian. Scared of non-nightmare aggressive creatures. (Rate of Wolfgang) Loses sanity upon killing friendly creatures.   2. Hi! I've been trying to make my character mod gain sanity when using the sewing kit (or gaining sanity when holding it, at the very least). I think it's the 'prefab' target that is set wrong, as I want all clothing to be affected, not a specific one. Does anyone have an idea how this works?
  3. my previous issue was solved, but now I'm having another issue with the autocompiler. i wanted to remove a few body parts of the sprite, so I replaced them with the cleared versions, opened up spriter, and the changes were made. I used the autocompiler, but when I went back into the game, the sprite didn't change. anyone know what went wrong?
  4. Hi all, I was wondering if it is better (in terms of performance or just overall) to change the way items work through modmain or by editing an entire items file? For example lets say I wanted to make the Top Hat have +10% speed. Would it be better to do it through modmain and add a AddPrefabPostInit or would it be better to just edit the file of the Top Hat (hats.lua)?
  5. So, i've been thinking I might want to make a Don't Starve fanfic. And i'm definitely wanting to go for a horror vibe. But i've seen enough creepypastas and crappy horror prose to know that I don't want it to be lame. I was wondering if anyone here might have any tips/pointers/advice on how to make it interesting without being lame, juvenile, cliche or phoned in. If you want to know, the initial idea has to do with trying to explain how Abigail died.

(also as a crude attempt to make friends) I'm a big lame butt when it comes to RP setting ideas, So perchance we RP our current avatar's characters in the DS universe?   11. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform Steam Version Number - Issue title Make 1 Infinite Tourch. Steps to reproduce Switched Tourch faster than the percent counter. I was able to have the same tourch for 6 days/nights doing this. Describe your issue -[infinite Tourch]- The bug is simple to do. And this way it is really simple to abuse. Having your inventory full is best way to do it. -Have your inventory full with 1 Tourch and ATLEAST 1 tool or wep. Place the tool in your Hand place [Where you normally place tools and tourches.] Then you place the tourch as close to the hand icon as possible. [The next inventory plot.] -[Press the inventory plot RAPIDLY while moving]- -This will have the tourch in a stasis it will not be able to count percentage of your Tourch. You will not be killed by the darkness due to getting lightsource pretty often. /[PLEASE DO NOT ABUSE THIS BUG. EVEN THOUGHT IT IS NOT THAT BIG OF A BUG]\ Thank you for reading.
