  1. I made a digital piano with 44 keys last year, here is the video. https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1MJ411B7oZ/ https://www.bilibili.com/video/av78037533 <p><iframe src="//player.bilibili.com/player.html?aid=78037533&amp;bvid=BV1MJ411B7oZ&amp;cid=133509524&amp;page=1" frameborder="no" scrolling="no" width="95%" height="600"> </iframe></p> But the problem is storing data for this equipment require huge amount of Filter/Buffer gates and lots of maunal editing. So I need a way to quickly read data from a midi file and convert them to game Filer/Buffer gates configuation. The template yaml method doesn't work because the time setting is not recoreded in those file and timing in music is critical. Anyone can shed some light?
  2. As the title says, this place is for share different songs you're listening lately. All the genres are welcome. You can post several times as you want. If that includes lyrics, much better. For example, I'm with this one now: Lyrics:
  3. I know that Vince de Vera and Jason Garner composed the soundtrack for Don’t Starve (and thus extends to DST, I presume). But what about the musical scores in Klei’s animations? Who are the composers for those? I looked at the DS wiki page where some of the tracks are listed, but there is no mention of any other composers besides the two Don’t Starve soundtrack composers. Did those two also compose the character animations’ scores as well, or no? If not, I want to at least know who composed Warly’s score “Taste of Home,” it’s my favorite one. And because of that, I want to use it for a school project, and I want to be able to give credit to the artist to whom the piece belongs.
  4. Howdy! I've been making a One Piece OST mod, and I wanted to change the hoedown OSTs (Goose, Moose and Beaver) , the character selection screen and the dusk/dawn sound notifiers (the ones that play when the night is over and when the dusk starts) but I have no idea what are the file names used to change them at FMOD designer (for example "music_work_night"), does anyone know how to find their name or could simply tell me them?
  5. I'm working on a mod with music. What am I doing wrong? Music_work and stinger_music play at the same time, how do I fix this? music_work constantly repeats
  6. So I've been always wanting lists for the characters like different themes/songs for characters that you guys think might fit for the skin of the character. Possibly formatted in a way like: (Character): (Skin): (Song link): Please reform from songs with swears (or if they do send clean versions) (Honestly I have no freaking clue why I want this I just really want to listen to music while I roleplay as the characters)
  7. This is a guide for creating a simple music mod using TheScraps' tutorial mod for looping working music and Klei's Official Music Mod tutorial. (This mod is for anyone who is either confused or want to know how to make music mods.) What you will need: A text editor. (Possibly Notepad ++, but sometimes it could be down. So, look for an alternative you can't use or access the website.) Don't Starve Mod Tools (Download through Steam. Directions below.) TheScraps' tutorial mod (Might need WinRAR if you aren't able to open .rar files) Klei's Official Music Mod tutorial (Workshop mod or through the forums.) Audio that you would want to use (More info below.) Location for Mod Tools Click Library, then click Tools. Then find Don't Starve Mod Tools and download the files. Making your FMOD Project: When you open the tools, you are prompted with this message: Select the Launch FMOD Designer option from the list. When it launches it will be a blank project. The next part is simple. All you need to do is download the two mod tutorials. Once that is done, you will want to open the project data for Klei's mod. The file location should be in your steamapps/common/dont_starve/mods/workshop-180938116/sound_source For people who do not own Don't Starve: For people who do not own Don't Starve, they will have to go to their Music Mod Tutorial page. It's similar to TheScraps' mod tutorial. Just open the zip and extract. Next, you should open the .fdp and you'll be greeted with this screen: Once you are there, you should begin by deleting the gramaphone_... events (Except the gramaphone_ragtime) Once you have deleted the gramaphone_... events, add an event called jukebox. Then, delete music_dusk_stinger crazy and music_test_parm. (Look at the image from above about the gramaphone events.) Now for the next part. You have to copy and paste these events as follows: music_danger music_epicfight music_work These musics have Autumn, Winter, Spring, and Summer alternatives. (Autumn uses the music_work, music_epicfight, and music_danger events.) The procedure goes as follows: First, you must copy and paste the events three times for the music_danger and music_epicfight. For the music_work, you must copy the event eleven times. Then you must rename the event to the following for each copy: music_danger_winter music_danger_spring music_danger_summer For music_epicfight: music_epicfight_winter music_epicfight_spring music_epicfight_summer For music_work: music_work_dusk music_work_night music_work_winter music_work_winter_dusk music_work_winter_night music_work_spring music_work_spring_dusk music_work_spring_night music_work_summer music_work_summer_dusk music_work_summer_night Now, that you have renamed all these tracks, the next part is replacing audio. The way to replacing audio is that you must right click on the audio clip which is called, /none, and click Replace sound... Then click Add sound file... Then look for the file location for your audio and add it into the sound. Then, select it and click OK. (You can do this for all audio in here, except for jukebox.) For jukebox: Then, add your sounds from your file location. Finally, go to your Banks. From there, you can try to use this compression method. If it doesn't work for you, try changing the Compression. Make sure you save your project always because occasionally the app crashed randomly. (It could be caused by anything.) Now, there are some other audios you can add to these, such as DST_theme_portaled, which is used for the lobby. Just copy and paste the music_FE for it. I will leave my whole list of events for reference: Now, you must Build the music_mod.fsb and music_mod.fev. Use Ctrl-B to build the project. The building will take a while to complete (Based upon on what extension you used for the music. .mp3, .ogg, etc.) (.ogg is the best in my opinion.) When it is done, it should be located in a folder called sounds, where ever you saved the project. If you cannot find the folder then build again, but before you do it, click Output >> Put .fsb and .fev in a folder called sounds in your Mod's folder. Making the script: For this one, I'll just give you a already created modmain.lua (file at the end) so I don't have to explain every single detail. (It's really late the time I'm posting this.) If you want me to explain this procedure, comment and I'll reply. In TheScraps' mod, he includes a scripts folder. Copy that folder and place it into your mod's folder. Finally, copy the modinfo.lua file into the folder and edit it. (Note: This is my mod info.) What you will want to do is rename anything that is in the quotes to whatever is needs to be named. (forumthread = "" is used if your mod is a Workshop item.) DO NOT mess with anything under configuration_options. The title says it all. Finally, you can boot up your game and test out your mod from the client mods section. If any of you have any problems with this tutorial, please leave a comment and explain your problem. I hope this helped anyone in need. Sorry if I rushed the end of this tutorial. It was around 3:00 am when I finished writing this. Thanks. modmain.lua (IGNORE THESE LAST PICTURES. I COULD NOT REMOVE THEM.)
  8. I would love to know how Don't Starve music is created. Is there anything that would tell me about it?

Okey, here it is the mod playlist: Main menu: The trial, The song of the sword-dancer, Silver for monster, After the storm, Ladies of the woods, Geralt of rivia If you find any issues or you have suggestions let me know that to make this mod better.
  10. Hello! Just thought I'd share my arrangement of the music of "Don't Starve." Enjoy!
  11. Hello! So I have been checking out Don't Starve's current Downloadable Content, in a hype that their newest DLC "Hamlet" is coming up in the near future. As I was checking out the description of each DLC, one of these caught the most attention out of me, that being the page of its Original Soundtrack. It has been a while since I've revisited this place, even more due to myself being more interested in Don't Starve Together nowadays. But in the end of reading its description, I find myself with these words: This may very likely mean that it'll automatically update to have Hamlet's Original Soundtrack added in, and for that I'm all fine. But at what I have been wondering about, is... Will this same kind of treatment apply to Don't Starve Together's music too by porting the music to the single-player game and adding it to the Original Soundtrack album, or will we have to buy another smaller, slightly cheaper version of the game's current soundtrack, such of which will contain their own batch of music from whatever updates come to live (An example possibly being having the A New Reign's bosses music, with the addition of music from the events such as Winter's Feast, or The Forge)?
  12. Workin' on some music stuff finally after a long absence of... not doing that. I'm gonna compile my starve here. I'll add some more later whenever (if ever) I finish them. The Starvers Carol - Festive Orchestra.mp3 - 12/15/2016 Don't Starve Together - Orchestral Cover.mp3 - 2/9/2018 Spring Cleaning Rag.mp3 - 2/13/2018 This one has Sheets!.pdf I do like feedback, my guys
  13. So I got off of work at 2 Am and thought to myself, "hm... I'm tired" So I took a nap, woke up at 3 Am from hunger and out of nowhere I had a random music brainstorm! (I get those so rarely now! ) So I decided to waste 4hrs making this remix, rendering a video, & like 4 hrs in proceeded to upload it on youtube! Sadly though, I didn't eat so um..I'm gonna go do that... and sleep Sorry for the sloppiness. I got very tired so it's obvious the video was rushed but the music wasn't, Gn. I'll try better next time.
  14. Alex Heflin just made another DS song cover, if you haven't already, I suggest you check out his other covers as well. The song is the Shipwrecked theme.
  15. so this is kinda lazy of me but I took the Don't Starve theme and the DST theme and pitched them down a fair bit and also slowed the tempo down and... it kinda sounds cool. Very dark and sinister, just wanted to share. I'm only planning on using these for personal use and all credit to Klei for the original music of course. Personally I think the original theme pitched down sounds the most interesting. don't starve shadow theme.wav don't starve together shadow theme.wav
  16. A couple of months ago I posted an 8Bit DS cover here and since then I've decided to tackle some more of the soundtrack just for the heck of it. It's not especially impressive but if enough people are interested I will take requests. ds DAWN.mp3 ds DUSK.mp3
  17. As some might know, I've been working on a cave boss theme for DS/DST for a bit (took two full days to do this) and I've made two attempts. Although, I never got it to sound quite like DS/DST soundtracks. The samples I've been given don't sound exactly like some of the instruments in DS/DST soundtracks and even tweaking an instrument sample would be difficult or perhaps even impossible to get just about a recreation of a sample from DS/DST tracks. And I think that's the biggest reason why we don't have that many sound/music related mods out there; we're given code, art, animation etc. to mess around with, but not sounds or soundtracks and that's really a bummer. I don't know why Klei has not let us do some modding with the existing tracks, but it would be great if they did; think of the potential this could provide for modders; creating your own tracks that sound like and just as good as some of the DS/DST originals. If we're given the soundtracks and the ability to edit their samples, I would have a much better time of getting my version of a DS/DST caves boss theme. And whilst some may say "it's good enough" or "it's excellent" when I present what I've done so far, for me it certainly isn't good enough; because it's not at the standard of the real tracks. This is also the reason why I personally do not like the dusk/night music mod soundtracks, whilst everyone else just adores it. And you've gotta remember; I've tried to make my track via Reason 8, which is a pretty good sound/music editing software and yet I still couldn't get things at a good enough standard where I think "Yes, I love this! It's as if Vince de Vera and Jason Garner themselves made it!"

This is a new version of Original by EmielRegis (the original download includes discs). "Hello all. I want to describe you my first mod. "Jukebox" simply plays music (yes! lol) that's on inserted disc. I made it becouse I wanted something to kill time during night, when I usually just making circles around firepit" -EmielRegis To play music, you need to install and enable disc mods. Those mods are seperate from the jukebox mod, the respective author is responsible for each disc of his or her. NOTICE: YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN DISCS USING THE VINYL_TEMPLATE. The jukebox introduces its own crafting tab. After making a jukebox, plant it down and insert a disc. You can toggle the volume while open and right-click the jukebox to turn it on or off. I am looking into some kind of portable mode. Please report any bugs that may occur.

This is a component for managing special mod music. Try to use it if you can. If you need a practical example, check out Soulful Alchemy. Don't mind the DirectorNode stuff, I was just too lazy to remove it. If you have any questions or concerns, tell me please!
  20. I think I saw a thread like this before, but I can't seem to find it. Personally, I think the song Yellow Light by Of Monsters and Men really fits the theme. Granted, maybe it fits DST a bit better, but I think the lyrics and the beat are perfect. What about all of you? What songs do you think fit DS and why?
  21. *SPOILER WARNING* On YouTube On VimeoOn Dropbox This is my first AMV what I made,so be nice with the comments.I shown the Klei's name & the game site at the end of the vid and hope I hope this trifle post does not violate the Klei's rule =/
  22. Yo everyone, My name is... I made recently a music mod and think it's soundtracks are fairly good for first try. Here they are: Thanks for reading, rating and leaving a comment is always appreciated!
  23. So I made a DS playlist, not that it hasn't been done already. Many, many times. But it was fun, and I suppose that's the point, really. I found some songs that I thought were pretty appropriate, so I've decided to share them. Do with them what you may. I may add others later, and some of these songs are more accurate than others. Plus, as you can tell, certain characters are featured more than others. *coughs awkwardly* Ok, there's a lot of Charlie and Maxwell songs, but finding appropriate tunes about strongmen and librarians is hard, man! Ah, and as a disclaimer: many of these songs have probably already been matched to things in forum playlists before. It is not my intent to copy anybody, and if I have, my sincerest apologies. Let me know what you think. You think it rocks, say something. You think it sucks, pipe up too. Urk, I know I'm going to regret this. Ok. Here we go. Bear with me. Keep an open mind. And enjoy if at all possible. TL;DR Sarco, get to the point Below are listed the songs, the artists, and what the songs reminded me of. Don't be afraid to pull up the lyrics on another tab, since they were the deciding factor for picking most of these songs. Here they are in a playlist for easy listening. http://grooveshark.com/#!/playlist/For+Your+Musical+Edification+And+Entertainment/89989474 • How Far We've Come- Matchbox 20 Survivors…Welcome to the Island. • Cosmic Love- Florence and the Machine Charlie and Maxwell. Maxwell was forced into a throne…while Charlie was forced into the dark. I really, really like this one for them ok. I just do. If you're only gonna listen to one of these, let it be this one. • Howl- Florence and the Machine Maxwell and Charlie, post-ending. What can I say, for some reason Florence and the Machine is just really appropriate for them. • Nothing Left To Say/Rocks- Imagine Dragons William Maxwell's Madness (forget the rocks bit at the end, it's not really in keeping with the rest of the song) • My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark - Fallout Boy Willow. Yeah. Bargains in the dark and childhoods full of burning things. Why not. • The Night- Disturbed Take a seat on the throne. Power corrupts.... absolute power corrupts absolutely. • Old Friend- Disturbed Post Ending Wilson... "Who's the Pawn now, Maxwell?" •Message in a Bottle- The Police. What, like I was gonna leave this out of a Don't Starve playlist? • From Wharf to Wilds - Darren Korb The Ruins. Confession. I haven't actually been to the ruins yet, (I've been drawing DS more than playing it lately), but I imagine this would be appropriate from the descriptions I've seen. • Bones(Acoustic)- Young Guns Wilson thinking to himself at night. Sky full of stars. Yeah. This one is kind over exaggerated, if you're not in the right mindset. Sorry. But the words are pretty appropriate. • Whispers in the Dark-Skillet …another post ending Charlie and Maxwell song. Fricking frack, you two, stop taking over this playlist. This one's a bit more shippy than the other songs, I suppose. • Brass Goggles- Steam Powered Giraffe WX-78. And I am willing to bet cash money that this has already been done. I think I might have actually originally heard about SPG on this forum. But it's just so perfect. Unfortunately, this one wasn't on Grooveshark. But here's a link to youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDRHx4cPgbE
  24. Hi! I want to share this with you: http://youtu.be/SFCZIYD4lT4It's the Don't Starve trailer but with my music and sound effects. I did this to practice music composition and sound design. =) Hope you like it!
  25. I noticed that there's a lot of drawing and writing art sections in the forum but no fan made music section- who knows I might not be looking hard enough but hell I'm interested to see what peeps compose up with; I doodle a song together myself that I don't think is too good but hey who knows. I wanna hear other peoples stuff if they got it, or just general music discussion. I will also be making a list of all the fan music posted here in the first post (starting with mine-own) Alone in The Dark (Stream) Via: Me ---- Wonderful Routines of Don't Starve (Download) Via: Campfire Song Contest ---- Ode to Maxwell (Download) Via: Campfire Song Contest
