    ONLY FOR GLITCHED SAVEGAMES WHERE DOGS ARE NOT SPAWNING CORRECTLY (Fixes dogs spawning every time you join and dogs not spawning at all) Instructions: Step 1 - Start your glitched game with this mod Step 2 - SAVE and QUIT Step 3 - disable this mod and load your game... all the dog information is now wiped and should resume spawning normal... you know it worked because now you can sleep! I created this mod because I was playing Shipwrecked and one day I could not sleep anymore because of some clandestine danger and 50 days later found out it was because hounds were not spawning. Please comment if you have any problems or if this worked for you.

Instructions: 1) Start game with mod 2) save and quit (in your Reign of Giants world) 3) disable this mod and it will reset the seasons in your ROG world. Created for DarkLifeCZ 200+ day Wes character who had a glitched out SW/ROG world where ROG only had 2 seasons.
  4. Good evening everyone, I am working on a modded character which is heavily based on Wilson's art (it is in quite an early stage.) I cannot use Spriter to create the character for various reasons, but I have the majority of it working without. However, the hair is presenting an interesting (and rather annoying) visual bug. You see, I have made his hair round as if it were neatly groomed, and it is working except for the fact that the game is rendering white pencil marks where Wilson's hair used to form its "W" shape. I have attached the texture file in .png form as well as a screenshot of the bug. Any idea as to what may be causing this? Thank you for your time.
  5. so I finally solved my worst nemesis Glitch So while editing my character "sprite" or lets just say face and then launch steam. The changes I made to the character was not updated into the game. The reason why this happened in the first place is that 1 or multiple .png (images of your character) has been corrupted. I call it corrupted because I don't know how else to explain it. It worked before but suddenly now it doesn't. And when you open that corrupted file into photoshop or paint or w.e editing program you have it'll say this .png is not supported for that software. Does anyone know a short cut on figuring out which file is corrupted? Because it took me 2 and half hours of copying each individual body part into a new esctemplate folder until eventually I found the corrupted file. (basicly I was thinking I saved the image wrong so I tried re-saving all my .png as a .png)
  6. Hey everyone, this is my first post on the forums, so I'll just take a second to greet everyone! I'm a big fan of Don't Starve, but only just now thought to register on the Forums so I could prowl around a little on here. So yes, I just finished a present I've been working on for my girlfriend's birthday. Her and I are both pretty big Don't Starve fans, and when one of her close friends at college made her an awesome Smallbird out of felt, I thought it would be great to make something Don't Starve-related for her as well. Having made two other sculptures out of Sculpey for my 3D Design class final at my own college, I thought a Wilson statue would be a neat idea. A few days of hard work later and I've just finally finished, only got done painting him an hour ago! I haven't given the statue to her yet; I'm planning on driving over later today, but I thought I would share it with you guys as well! Sorry about any noticeably strange proportions and/or bumpy, uneven areas, I'm still developing my artistic skills, and Sculpey is a bit tough to work with! Hope you all enjoy either way though Also, just for fun, here's how he looked before I applied the Sculpey and paint; on the inside, his bones and muscles are just wire, aluminum foil and tape. That's all I've got! After all that, I think I'm gonna take a long nap, then (fail to) relax with a good session Don't Starve.

  8. ... Can I keep him? While I'm playing in unmodded Sandbox, this little guy has been following me wherever I go. His movement is kinda cute, in a glitchy sort of way. What should I name him?
  9. I was still exploring the map and just making temporary bases camps along the way. And one night, I was just pressing the space bar to chop down trees and all of a sudden I saw something on the ground moving. A small walking thing. A mandrake!!!! At that point I didn't know it was friendly and I had low health so I ran around my camp fire trying to stay alive lol Until day time, it just sort of planted itself to the ground! Oh how silly I was.

Okay, as i have been playing the game, i have found a few things that would possibly make it one of the better games i have played.... adding a co-op mode to this game would, make it more interesting, you could work together to get to a high day count, or work against each other, to steal the other players riches, not only would it make the game more excitable, but harder as well... Suggestions on Co-op: 1, i personally feel the map would be to small for a large group of people, hence why i named this thread "Co-op" and not "Multiplayer" so i'd suggest a max of 4 people.. 2, Starting each player at random locations across the map.. that way if they do choose to work together they're going to have to find each other. 3, Night lasts longer, just to make it that slightest bit harder.. other suggestions: 1, Being able to make different/Stronger Armour. 2, Being able to make a range of weapons, (i.e sword, does high damage, and hits multiple targets but doesn't stun the monster. Bow, does less damage, but you can hit from a distance. Dagger, damage is high speed high, but doesn't stun.) 3, the ability to build more... (i.e, street lights, glass, mode of transport, a house) 4, being able to make a family... (not sure about that one, just thought of it then) 5, a story line, i was given the game by a friend, and i don't know how the person got there, why they're there, who the guy is at the start... in my opinion the game just needs more to do.. i found myself bored at my base a lot, with nothing to do.. so i wandered and died in stupid ways, (i.e trying to feed a tallbird) i'm not sure if it's just me, but i found the game to lag a lot, and my person ends up running into a bush for about 30 seconds before actually harvesting anything.. the glitch i have found, you can research things without the alchemy engine, as long as you have the right amount of research points, just go up to your science machine and double click.. these are just my opinions, and suggestions.... have your say..

  12. Dear Devs, Please add an auto-pause feature to 'Don't Starve' when you tab out or switch windows. There have been a number of occasions where I just switch over to change a song, and when I switch back, I'm dead. Not fun. I'm sure this would be a positive addition to a single-player game, as it makes playing and checking something online a lot easier. Thanks! Loving the game by the way! Rylenn
