  1. https://imgur.com/a/izPfAmy Basically, it seems like a liquid thermo sensor isn't working. I have reloaded this save multiple times, changed the automation settings then put them back, and each time no matter what it shortly lets through cold packets it shouldn't (I noticed because my aquatuner's pipes kept breaking). Am I missing something obvious or is this a bug? Save file attached. beginning again.sav
  2. So i was playing the smith bar brawl, i closed it and then came back by pressing continue in the main menu and i was out here
  3. Another edit - TLDR: Pipes shouldn't update packet position, packet position should update pipes. So I noticed while building pipes, all the liquid packets on the screen shift. This is screwing up all of my pipe automation. Sensors don't work properly, shutoffs fail to cut off when they're supposed to, etc. It's not realistic to expect me to stop building pipes for the sake of my automation, or disable automation while building pipes. I am always building pipes or running automation. That's like, 99% of what this game is. Can we fix this please? If the packets shift to the closest segment, it throws off timings and signals everywhere. instead of shifting the packets when pipe is built, maybe it would be more reliable to register the pipe when the packets enter their next segments starting position, rather than resetting that position for all packets. Does this sound understandable? - when a dupe constructs a pipe, they can construct a "placeholder" pipe that looks exactly like a pipe, the difference is that it doesn't interact with packets. Then, when the packets enter the default state, the placeholder pipe is replaced with the actual pipe that interacts with packets. Problems solved, automation in tact. Edit- I should have placed this in the bugs section, but I wasn't sure since it's technically intended, though I'm sure the consequences of this implementation aren't.

As soon as I entered cave level 2 and my character landed on the ground from the rope, the screen froze and I got audio noises that sounded like I was continuously picking up an multiple objects and multiple recipes were being unlocked. That audio sequence continued but got slower and slower and finally I got a pop-up window saying that Don't Starve appeared to be hung and would I like to kill it or wait. I tried restarting my device but it appears that my save game was destroyed because whenever I tried to load it up it would go right to that spot and then repeat the error...over and over...   5. When shipping items there's a difference between items coming from the left or right before going down. Reference below: In both squares the items are going down. When items come from the left and go down, they follow up on one another very close, as if they're moving to the left or right. When items come from the right and go down, they following items wait until the previous item has cleared the intersection, causing unnecessary delays and spaces between the items. Proposed solution: - Items from any side going to any side should be handled the same
  6. If you combine a bunch of wires from different automation buildings, they function as an OR. If a single output gives a GREEN, then the signal on wire is GREEN. However, when the signal is GREEN, it also changes the colour of the OUTPUT's of all automation buildings on the same wire. Imho, the colour of the output tile should not change, even if the wire changes. Attached image shows how on a single wire there are 3 RED outputs and 1 GREEN. However, visually all outputs are shown as GREEN. Proposed solution: - Show outputs in outputted signal - Show wire in resulting colour (in example, as green) Why reported? Current visuals make it hard(er) to debug where in the automation setup a signal is coming from. The above state, also shown below with info card, amplifies this, where a green output is said to output red:

  11. Good evening everyone, I am working on a modded character which is heavily based on Wilson's art (it is in quite an early stage.) I cannot use Spriter to create the character for various reasons, but I have the majority of it working without. However, the hair is presenting an interesting (and rather annoying) visual bug. You see, I have made his hair round as if it were neatly groomed, and it is working except for the fact that the game is rendering white pencil marks where Wilson's hair used to form its "W" shape. I have attached the texture file in .png form as well as a screenshot of the bug. Any idea as to what may be causing this? Thank you for your time.

  13. As you can see, crash occurs on missing component "mine" for "trap_teeth". I'm 100% sure that there is no any "RemoveComponent" calls in the code. This component must exist. But for some reason it is missing. How is it possible?
  14. So I was looking through the steam workshop and I happen to notice a problem with one of the character mods, It seemed to be crashing for players and himself. I had contacted him further to see what the problem was and he had told me "Upon trying to load it in, it automatically crashes." I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix problems like this for a character or on how to code and fully work a character and put it into DST. I also have a screenshot that might also be able to help with this problem but might also be useless. (but better trying then not right?)

Observe that it prints out some warnings about Pango fonts, then segfaults even before it creates any new windows. Navigate within the dontstarve/ directory to bin/ and run dontstarve.sh from there. Observe that the game itself works fine, and the crash is in the updater. Any chance I can get either a working updater or a version of the game with the November 14 and November 19 bugfixes? I'm happy to run any commands on my machine that you think would help diagnose the problem. More details: My workaround for "updating" the game had been to re-download everything from Humble Bundle every time an update came out, and then just run the game directly and skip the updater. However, I have recently learned that I still don't have the November 14 bugfix (discovered because my ham bat loses durability). First off, I'm very happy to see a Mac port out and the game normally runs fine, but unfortunately the game becomes virtually unplayable during the level that introduces dogs because the game seems to unexpectedly quit whenever a dog is near. I have no idea why, and I'm not sure if it's actually because of the dogs, but whenever I'm near a dog, the game seems to crash within seconds. I was able to get past the first dog quickly after a few crashes, but the second dog in the level is impossible to get past without crashing, usually before the dog is even on screen. I've tried verifying the cache, re-installing the game, and restarting Steam, but to no effect, I still can't get past the second dog. At the moment the game becomes unplayable about 10-15 minutes into the 3rd level. If it means anything, this is all on a mid-2011 Macbook Air, running with an Intel HD 3000 graphics.   21. Hey everyone, this is my first post on the forums, so I'll just take a second to greet everyone! I'm a big fan of Don't Starve, but only just now thought to register on the Forums so I could prowl around a little on here. So yes, I just finished a present I've been working on for my girlfriend's birthday. Her and I are both pretty big Don't Starve fans, and when one of her close friends at college made her an awesome Smallbird out of felt, I thought it would be great to make something Don't Starve-related for her as well. Having made two other sculptures out of Sculpey for my 3D Design class final at my own college, I thought a Wilson statue would be a neat idea. A few days of hard work later and I've just finally finished, only got done painting him an hour ago! I haven't given the statue to her yet; I'm planning on driving over later today, but I thought I would share it with you guys as well! Sorry about any noticeably strange proportions and/or bumpy, uneven areas, I'm still developing my artistic skills, and Sculpey is a bit tough to work with! Hope you all enjoy either way though Also, just for fun, here's how he looked before I applied the Sculpey and paint; on the inside, his bones and muscles are just wire, aluminum foil and tape. That's all I've got! After all that, I think I'm gonna take a long nap, then (fail to) relax with a good session Don't Starve.
  22. Very excited that Shank 2 is finally playable for Mac! Got the game in the Humble Bundle and was waiting for it to finally be playable!... and then I couldn't play it... :frown:I can start the game fine, but whenever I choose a Difficulty in Campaign mode or try to start Survival Mode, it crashes...Other people on Steam seem to be having the same problem, too...My iMac also seems to meet all the requirements, so I'm kinda stumped.Any chance I can get some help?
