  2. I think when you die that when u start again u should be able to collect the stuff of who u were before and live and whatever like the person u were before u died. So u don't have to completely restart. But it won't last forever I think u should have to collect ur stuff or things or pick up where u left off (other than the days) 12 hours or so so it won't last forever so it is more fair and not cheating!!!! Also i think people should have an option for easy mode (chicken (me)) or Classic (man (not me))! Thx anybody who was honest with me!

May be i posted in wrong place, so i create new thread Biomes Must be desert in this game, with: lizards (like rabbit, but they hides in stones, and must be mined with pickaxe), cactuses (may be with rare dragon fruits and spikes?). Cold biome (tundra), have a lot of animal life (mammoth, deers?) which are fast and may be killed only by distant weapons. You can't farm in tundra, but you may collect some local berries and moss. If you do this, your beefalo fur will acquire value as source of winter clothing? Some unearthly biome? With giant fungus and some lianes (=rope)? Also i want to see some competitor life (mining stone, choping wood, gather food) - it may be some giant ants, wasps or termites? You should add some fishing sites in forest and grassland. Or river with new food souces (crabs?). Plants Why can't dig reed? And may be eat it's tubers? Items Bow&Arrows, of course. Items, may be amulets, increasing character's main perk (++ grow beard, or ++ fire light). Backpack should be viewed on map. Gameplay Slash&Burn agriculture (~without manure one time). Repair by summation of two %s of items. Control RMB may be used for immediate use of item on the ground such as eating seeds,carrots, etc or taking backpack. Bugs All amulets dissapeared when character die.
  4. What was everybodies first reactions to most of the enemies? Hounds: HOLY **** WHAT IS THAT IM GOING TO DIE OH MY GOD Tentacle: What the hell is that thing? I don't like it Treeguard: *Tried to fight it and died* Spiders: Pretty calm since I assumed they were the standard enemy of the game Spider Queen: Klei had done a great job of making me think the spider queens would be the baddest things every so I didn't dare go near one until i realized I could kill them.

Finally I finished my Steam Problem and played the Game on Chrome :3 So here are my Idea's for the next Update's : A new Kind of Spider I think it must be like a Poisen Spider It spawn's on a Level 3 Spider Nest and has the Stats like a Warrior Spider. The Player can heal himself from the Poisen with Honey.The Poison Spider will Drop a Poisen Tooth and with this Tooth you can make a "Poison Shooter" (I dont know the English word for this >.<) More Bioms! I think the Game needs more Bioms like: A Snow Biom In the Snow Biom you can find Snow you can Dig the Snow out the Ground and you can make Snowballs with the Snow, With the Snowballs you can freeze Anima's/Enemie's and you can make a little Snowman (YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!) The Tiny Snowman can only live in the Snow Biom and melt's in the Normal Bioms (Grass/Stone...)He can throw Snowballs at Enemie's. Jungle In the Jungle you can find A LOT of Tree's and Jungle Monster's (Canibal...). .........................................................................................................................................................   9. One thing I don't like about the backpack is that you can store it in a chest/inventory. I understand that you shouldn't be able to do that with items in it, because it would be like extra storage. What I was thinking of is that if the backpack has no items in it, then you should be able to put it in a chest or your inventory. This would make things 10x easier, because I usually switch to a logsuit when fighting, and a backpack when exploring, but that's kind of difficult when I have to drop my backpack instead of just storing it. Not sure if this has been said, but just wanted to get this out there.
  10. The reason I bought this game is because it has two copies. I gave the second to my best friend so he could play it too. We both really like this game, but we are bummed out that we can't play together. If there is anyway that a multiplayer or even a simple two player CO-OP it would be very appreciated.
  11. Picture Tinkerbell but a bit smaller size than as the player. The wood nymph glows pink like the fireflies contrasting with the trees to easily spot in the daytime. These creatures only appear in woodland biomes and can only travel a set distance from tree to tree. When you see them they will be happily frolicking around a tree. They will entice you with promises and gestures to approach them. As you inspect them one of four things will happen: 1. You will get a kiss restoring your hp or a portion of it then they disappear. 2. They will offer you a wooden harp which they fuse themselves with. (or maybe the player offers a harp to the wood nymph found in the graveyards.) This chance will lower or not occur at all if there is an unused harp on the map. On use the wood nymph will burst out destroying the harp and attack any hostile enemies. If there are no trees around to latch unto they will die instantly. They will fight to the death and if there are no more enemies they will disappear into the woodlands. 3. The wood nymph is actually a wicked nymph in disguise. The wood nymph turns into an evil version with a blood red glow. They will consume a portion of your health and begin to chase you. Can be killed or will stop chasing if the player runs away from the trees. 4. The wood nymph will laugh at you and disappear. Imagine you are being chased by hounds or worse, with low health and your armor busted. Then you see a nymph in the distance. Are you willing to take a chance on a possibility of aid or the risk of another enemy?

  14. So my idea is that when we dont sleep at night we would become more tired and we wouldnt recharge our HP by only eating. The straw roll should be one of the few things that would make us recharge our HP and to do it we would have to rest for 3 days no less or more. What do you guys think about it ???
  15. I had an idea that when you start a new game on the same world after a death, the world could be haunted by your past life. This could be in the form of a ghost or 'zombie'-like representation of your old character that could act as another monster at night. Maybe the world itself could become more withered and eerie each time you die and start a new game as if it is haunted by the death of your character. This would increase the difficulty each time you started a new game, which would make sense as you become more familiar and able with the game and wanted a new challenge each time. I don't know, maybe that is a terrible idea.

  18. Much like Optimus Pine, there should be guardians of other zones. Mining too many rocks may cause a Punk Rock (rock golem with a mossy mohawk) to up and attack you. It should be difficult to kill and have chances of dropping gems, gold, and flint upon death.

I was reading the update notes (More importantly the replys to the notes.) and while the update helped fight the great and powerful berry farms, many people (Myself included) didn't really get slowed down by the Gobblers. Eg. I was picking my berrys and, due to some great die roll in the sky, out of (Almost)every bush popped a Gobbler, one after the other. This was quite a funny event, but in the end I just waved my spear at them and I didn't lose a single berry to the army of hungry thieves. (Note: You have no idea what it is like to scare away an army of Gobblers. It might have been the best moment in the game.) Getting back on track. I got to thinking, what if there is a high amount of berry bushes in an area, lets say 10. A big tough Gobbler decides to move in (Possible names: Gobbler Bruiser, King Gobbler, Gobbler Squatter.) these Gobblers would be tough painful and generally hard to kill. But however shall you deal with such a beast? My idea is, it stays and lives in your berry farm, slowly becoming fatter and fatter. Then what was once a mighty King Gobbler is now an Obese Gobbler who can't run and can't fight. This will allow the Gobblers to knock out your berrys of a while, thus making you gather different food. But there is also somewhat of a payoff as you can cook the fat bugger. Also, people plant their berrys near watter in order to trap Gobblers, maybe just have them jump in? It would be quite funny to watch a Gobbler jump into the sea in order to "Escape".

  21. This thread is dedicated for new original ideas for Don't Starve. This will be CONSTANTLY updated! These are my Ideas: A Cave system where you find a Cave and it Teleports you to an underground area full of new minerals and creeps. Here is a suggestion by Mobius187 'First off, the entrance to the underground caverns would be via a crevasse in the ground. The player would only be able to Examine the hole initially until they craft a grappling hook (rope + gold ore). By clicking on the crevasse with the grappling hook the player is transitioned (i.e. "teleported", as you suggested too) to the cavern below. From here the player will still be illuminated by a shaft of light from above (so long as it's not night) and to progress further they would need a light source. It goes without saying that the caverns are pitch black. A list of suggestions for the caverns include: mushrooms (random effects, food/heal/poison/hallucinatory, decided when game map is first generated to prevent knowing each muchroom in advance), blind albino cave fish in pools, gemstones (i.e. ruby), boulders, crystals (i.e. quartz), new ores (i.e. iron), coal, and new monsters (i.e. massive worm creatures). I also suggested that caverns could lead to other crevasses that would let a player climb up onto a new island. This idea would be especially useful if the Devs ever eliminate the stone bridges connecting the islands and/or require us to use boats to travel from island to island normally. In connection to some of these new resources, it was suggested that by using coal and iron ore a player could craft steel ingots or, by using a stone crucible, pour molten steel into a shape and craft a new item (i.e. a sword).' Quoted from Mobius187 Pan's Whistle- A better version of Pan's Pipes that makes all Creeps on the screen follow and attack stuff for you (like pigs) for 30 sc- 60 sc Fur Hat- A hat made of warm beard hair. Chicken, Sheep, Cow, Houses- Less awesome than pigs. Just animals. A Special Golden creep for every creep in the game- Drops rare End-Game materials and has a 1% chance of spawning. Uncraftable Items- You would get them via. Monster Drops. (like Ares's Javelin, You would get it from a Stone Guardian (yet another idea)) A 6th Customizable Character- When you unlock him/her you can customize him. You can spend large amounts of research points to give special abilities such as make flames in dark, grow beard, have increased health/hunger, and ghosts. You would add these abilities before you enter the game. Unlockable abilities- After unlocking all the chars. you start unlocking new ABILITIES for them. (i.e. Wolfgang can punch down trees, Willow sets her enemies on fire for a short period of time, and Wendy would be more creepier.) Fruit Trees- Allows for more food and crock pot recipes. Can be chopped down and player would be given 2 wood and a (insert fruit here) tree sapling. This will grow at triple the regular tree growing rate and would produce fruit at double the tree growing rate. Raft- I think if you ever got bored you should be able to start fresh so you should be able to make a raft. It would require 300 research points and can store 1 chest when you get on it you have the choice to basically restart your world with those items in the raft and in your inventory. The raft would be wrecked when you spawn in the new world. Blue Gem- Used to upgrade the Amulet to the Blue Gemed Amulet. The amulet revives you once then is destroyed (like the regular amulet) and ALSO boosts your max. Health by 50. Green, Purple, Orange, White, Black, and Brown Gems.Each would boost the amulet in its own way like the blue gem. (i.e. Brown makes crops grow faster, Green makes creeps ignore you unless you agro them, white provides constant light, black lets you see better at night, orange increases your max hunger, and purple makes your attacks poisones.) Also ading a second red gem makes your attacks flaming. Alot more weapons- Swords, Spears, Spells (i.e. Fire bolt, Bee Swarm, Stomp of a thousand tallbirds, etc.), Slingshot, Greek Fire, Boomerang, Scythes, and Crossbows. Forge and Arcane Enchanter- Used to research all those weapons/spells. A telescope- To gave at the stars. Probably serves some purpose but I haven't thought of one. Sticky Trap- Made from Spider's web and twigs. Can hold a bigger monster in place (i.e. Pigs) and slow done bigger monsters (i.e. Those tree thingies) P.S. i encountered 1 of them only once and i never got its name. Blight- When you get into 50+ days in the game an area that you are constantly in becomes blighted. In the blighted area... Chests become corrupt and attack you (when they die they drop your stuff) Berry bushes, grass, and saplings immediately die, Trees either become alive of die, Pigs will start to turn to werepigs, Pighouses become spider dens, Tents become spider dens, Meat effigies are pushed or moved away from the blight so the player doesn't lose them, Farms and Fire pits break down to their natural elements, any passive animals becomes aggressive and redbirds become crows, and when a spider dies it's body doesn't disappear it just stay there for 30 seconds and then becomes resurrected (unless player goes out of range) Top Hat ability- I know tat there are planned abilities for some hats so i thought of one for this one. It changes your voice from harmonica to a more classy British harmonica . I don't know how that would sound but if it gets implemented i will look forward to it! Abandoned Village Biome- Basically a mid evil village/castle thing that spawns only once in a generated world. It would include... Skeleytors (like a skeleton but a bit more 'Don't Starveish') and they would drop bones and a rare 5% skull Helmet drop, Skeleytor houses (like pig houses), fire pits, chests with loot, Gargoye statues (able to pick up with hammer and it is used for decoration), and maybe a Skelytor king (like the pig king but will attack you) and he could be a 2nd tier boss (Spider Queen being 1st tier) that drops an amulet necklace that is never used up when you die (you just drop it) but it revives you with half health and half hunger. Those are my Ideas What's your's? Red = Overpowered/Not so good ideas. READ MOBIUS'S COMMENT FOR BETTER IDEA FOR CAVES I'll be adding more of my ideas later on but i still want YOUR ideas.
  22. 1. beefalo coat. we don't know if the beefalo will be around for winter so thought it would be a good idea to stock up on there fur to make a coat. the coat would be used in the middle slot and would also help the player stay warm 2. baby wolf <3 thought it would be cool if you could find a baby wolf give him a nice home food, fire maybe a little coat and by doing so he will be your follower. He will follow you around, help attack enemies or maybe hold a backpack?
  23. greeting devs and players after 250+ days eating 5 cooked berries at day (there are a videos of my gameplay stored @twitch.tv/archsageOM) this are a list of things u should add and remove in-game imho because the game is too easy: snakes (poison ) , bear , boats , do not generate map with stupid corridors (or less island ) , raise the health of big animals , more traps , grass hut , wood hut , wood house , stone house , wood cottage , stone cottage , remove random stone add mountains with mines (and relative coal mine gold plain stone mine) , river , sleep meter , disease and relative cure , fever, godblessed WATER and relative container and thirsty meter , raft , cotton and relative tissue , lower the amount of starve points vegetables give , fences , less amount of fire from any kind of combistible , chickens and eggs and relative already existent turkey , remove stupid speedy farm and turbo farm and enlarge it = vegetable garden with relative work on it with tools , fruits trees , not to mention bigger maps ofc. be pleased to contact me i got mechanics for any of this things in my head. i hope u will enjoy then as some cool ideas and i guess the game will be more great not to mention that already is because the game IS AWESOME! thank you for your time
