  1. Hello ! With the latest beta patch I've got this poor plant (normally it serves me as a thrmometer for my base = healthy = ideal temperature ) not growing. I never encounter radiation so far, but jumping to the radiation overlay is deseapointing diseapointing dasyppoint.. not enlightening: Apart from the shine bug (11 rad/s) .. nothing. Is it a ... bug (pun intended) ?
  2. Hello !! When diagnostics are visible on alert only i wonder when or what triggers the alert? For crops it's plant dwelling, but for stress or breathability, what is the threshold ? 50% oxygen ? 10% oxygen ? you-dupes-are-all-dead level ? And most important, how do I set my own threshold of alert?
  3. Standard start... (previous dev build, not the one from yesterday) and.. no renewable source to be seen (geyser). I'm not concern about food, nor energy (I'd like the population to be low, 3-5 dupes) but about oxygen. There are two options I can see (and I count on you to expand ): 1/ use the polluted water (last count N=99 tiles). It will be enough for 270 cycles 2/ use CO² to create polluted water (hence water, and O² at the end). Not yet calculated, but that may be not enough to get O²... 3/ err.. any ideas ?
  4. I am talking about this in a simple sense, but it could fill out some space tech science trees. -- What about a space toilet? It could be based on suction and compression (with internal storage and maybe even a new material or just use the polluted mud to keep some earlier tech relevant) or maybe it could be unceremoniously "dumped" into space for humor. -- For oxygen perhaps there could be a small pressurized tank that has an adjustable flow rate . . . or even a module that stores oxygen for the crew with an interior pipe or placeable vent in the interior. -- For food perhaps a tech after canning (freeze drying maybe) that compresses the calories from food into smaller packets and have MUCH longer periods of freshness (so as to not require cooling) for space travel and operations, such as establishing a new colony. -- Decoration and morale are a bit tricky in space too. Maybe there could be spacecraft specific decor items . . . like a window . . . or glass terrarium domes for plants that could even hold sporechids in particular, or dupes who enjoy a particular line of work (for just going to space) might simply have a mood buff. -- Sleeping arrangements could even have a potential tech where it takes up less space as well. Like a two tile vertical bed maybe? -- I don't have an idea for energy other then to have something "built in" to the space vehicle itself where is uses it's fuel source to produce power, but could also be a module. In either case it would have an interior wire connection or outlet. -- Something that I think was mentioned before, but I will reiterate would be ways of building space stations (in space only) and creating space-based manufacturing. -- Maybe even having a potential for being able to capture small asteroids with specialized tech, for processing in space (which would be really cool and could open the door for derelect / ruins exploration and salvaging operations as well as exposing the dupes to new dangers such as hull breeches, leaking radiation or fuel, ect; that would require space walks to repair on their own station or for repairing the ruins for use.)

Characters perks are buffed, but at the same time enemies are stronger, than usual! The mod adds more than 10 custom wavesets, 3 custom difficulties, 2 custom presets, weapons, armors, hats and 3 new bosses, which are not so easy to defeat.   6. At the moment i have a maze of pipes going everywhere in my bases. In order to detect what sort of liquids etc i have (using automation) results in issues where the liquid will just pass directly past the liquid shutoff i want to activate so i have resorted to using filters. But this has created its own set of problems. I cannot detect the level of the tanks so when a tank/reservoir gets full there is no way to redirect the liquid/gases elsewhere. If i use AND filters the whole chain becomes unusable. If i add automation to a gas or liquid tank/reservoir, the reservoir essentially doesn't return a false [ie. its input not output], but i can't pass that feedback to the next automation chain to switch on say a liquid vent to drop that liquid somewhere to be resorted later). This results in the entire piping system becoming full and nothing can move anywhere. Unless i'm completely oblivious to something, the OR gate won't work unless its getting signal but since i can only pass input there's no way to signal the next branch to kick in.   7. change the way that duplicants are rolled to 'per planetoid' at the moment the number of duplicants with good traits too low per planetoid if I use 8 for the first two planetoids then when i get to the third one, (when i get to rockets), i've only got destruction dupes available, creating chaos of shifting the 'good' dupes from the first world and creating a very unstable rotation of 'bad' dupes on the first world when it all goes to heck due to the time to rocket between worlds and setup the next base. having a total of 15 good dupes total makes it difficult for new players

Restocking rock crushers, distillers and power generators (except manual) should be supply tasks Number of times the Operation dupes are too busy refueling coal and operating other machines like the metal and oil refineries to keep the base operational seems a little tilted. My coal generators should be running separately to my manual generators on two separate circuits but i cannot make that work. Annoyingly the only other way I can see to fix that would be to force assign people to the task or make a separate 'class' in addition to operator, or rename plumber to mechanic and move some tasks around.
  9. What if each player could run a planetoid ... Lets say 4 players working together to try get goods to each other to max out their planetoid .... You'd essentially be able to have a planetoid the size of the base game for each player, and they'd be able to essentially build their own base, with the only way to pass materials back and forth being the teleporters. You could essentially generate geysers for specific planetoids (water, salt water, slush geysers) like in the DLC but also supply other geysers (say up to 6) to 'help' the player progress that are unique only to that planetoid. No duplicant teleporters, no rocketry [but then again see later thoughts]; just relying on other players to get the materials you need. Your pod would only supply duplicants, and you'd only get duplicants the other players hadn't snatched up. The only 'data' you'd then be sending is whats coming through the teleporters and the duplicant pool. Maybe voicechat, but theres discord so ... or maybe end game could be you complete your POI rocket with the missing parts & fuel it ready to go back home? All four players must have their rocket ready to win the game ? all players duplicants die = player is out
  10. No, really why does it exists ? It prevents nothing because it outputs 4kW it's twice more than the amount of power that conductive wire can run through, so when its more than 2kW it just starts overload. And so i ask again why does it exist ? You can make a slider for managing it's power that it can move thought or make it recognize how much power it can move through and not move more than 2kW or 1kW depending on what wires are connected, that's how i thought it was supposed to work at first time i tried to use it, but then as it turns out it doesn't work in anyway and presents nothing and it's existence is just not justified. Or maybe i and many other players (probably all of us) don't know how to use it properly and in a right way ?
  11. Hey, Hi. It's me. Yeah, that me. Now I was curious, are we allowed to modify mod characters or their perks? I've noticed the Wortox config mod hasn't been taken down, so I assume simply configging stuff is fine. But is something like say: Making a modified version of Wortox's Soul Hop for another character be okay? I'm not looking to 1-1 copy it, however. And this is me assuming we can view his code, as I haven't checked yet. I would like conformation before attempting to do anything of the sort or related. Preferably from a DEV or someone who's got proof of their word on this, and for future DLC characters. Thanks!

  15. *This is purely speculating and hoping* xD I've been thinking about this and trying to find a happy medium with the confirmed intro of Spring and Autumn now going into the mix. What lengths do you think would work best? I'm always confusing myself with the summer - 21days and winter - 15days. It makes calculating the next winter a total nightmare due to my lack of basic math sometimes lol If I could have it any way, I'd probably have: Spring - 10 days Summer - 15 days Autumn - 10 days Winter - 10 days Atleast I think I'd like that. Part of me feels less than complacent with it though since the harsh quick drop from summer to winter is a nasty enjoyable challenge =D The idea of having longer to stock up for winter means less rushing, but it makes me wonder if it'll lead to dilly-dallying around a bit, especially through Autumn if there aren't sizeable seasonal differences in place. What about you?
  16. With the new DLC, I though I mighteswell make a suggestion. Yeah, its not lava caves/lava biomes/lava birds. Deal with it. My idea is quite simple. Improve general animal AI. Not that its bad, but make it seem more dynamic. Standard animals If a rabbits hole is dug up, and the rabbit avoids death, it will relocate and make a new hole. Birds will occasionally make nests on the ground. These can be harvested for eggs, but if left in the nest too long, they will hatch, spawning a new bird. An empty birds nest will rot in about three days. Pigs will expand their villages naturally, as in maybe one house per ten days. Of course, there will be a limit to this. Pigs will also be found making pilgrimages to the Pig Capitol (Town with pig king). After the full moon, any pigs that were Werepigs at night are burned alive at a campfire. The campfire will stay alight for the time of a fully lit campfire, then it will go out until the pigs re-light it for the next sacrifice. Merm/Pig Relationships We have already seen signs of war between Merms and Pigs, given the heads on spikes around the map. So why not make these two races battle it out? Very, very occasionally, a horde of Merms will attack random pig houses on the map. Even ones you've built. If the pig(s) kill the merms, the siege ends. If the pig(s) die, the merms destroy their houses. Of course, it can happen the other way around. This would add more dynamicness to the world - imagine heading to the local pig village to find everyone dead... Merms will occasionally send embassies to the Pig Capitol. They can be recognized in that they carry a small, dingy white flag everywhere. Pigs will not attack this Merm, and this Merm will not attack pigs. He will walk to the Pig King and hold council with him, maybe giving offerings and the like. After the meeting is over, there is a 50% chance that the merm will be executed. Otherwise, he will go back to the main Merm village. Hostile Creatures Yeah, you knew something about Krampus would be on here. The current naughtiness summon number is 30. I say it should be 20. Each time Krampus is summoned, that number goes down by one. If you are 100% nice for 10 days afterwards, it regenerates by one. The max is 40. As for Krampus himself, make him just run around smashing things non-stop. Make him being there an actual panic instead of him only arriving when you purposely summon him. Oh, no! Deerclops is here! I'll just herd him into these beefalo and kill him instantly. The point is, Deerclops gets quite easy after a while. So here's my suggestion - everything runs away from him. Its pretty simple, but it makes the one-eyed wonder a hell of a lot harder to fight. Maybe he even breaks tooth traps. I'll expand this soon.
