  1. So @minespatch suggest I have a thread, now *poof* an art thread. Welcome. The name is Wheaty and I enjoy playing Don’t Starve and Don’t Starve Together. Best part is always the lore, having fun with friends and events. (Please note that I don’t post a lot as I am either busy or have art block). You’ll find my stuff here most of the time or in other forums depending on the topic. Inktober, day 1 (Poisonous) Killing the gnaw with adulterated food. (I've always nickname it Jeff) Inktober, day 28 (Gift) Woeful Willow gifts you with an evil Bernie for protection against the shadows. >:3 Inktober, day 29 (Double) Supernatural conjoined twins Wendy and Abigail. Both process of day 28 and 29.
  2. I don't know, but I have an idea for an event. But can someone like, and someone there is no. So here is ivent Fear. I called him. The point is that Willow, Wigfrid, Wolfgang fall into the medieval world of birds who want to capture the shadows and the darkness. The heroes need to kindle the furnace, to reinforce the power of the Podium of the Great fire, to banish the shadow of evil forces. They have to get fuel and fight along with the shadow waves to get the ruby to consolidate the effect of the furnace. The idea is presented here quite raw, but can someone interested.)

    I have a computer with a trackpad (a built in mouse) and it sucks, so here, have some crappy photoshop that I didn't even make in photoshop and instead in a free-to-use photo editor. Enjoy. Some of you might have seen these before, but I just felt like archiving them on here. So I might one day come back and see all the eldritch horrors I had created. I changed the name of the forum to Photo shack. Yay. I felt it had more of a ring to it.
  4. I realised I have yet to share any of my DS art here on the forum, so here goes! "Kleiground" is a fan name for crossover art that brings together things from different Klei games. No, I did not come up with the name. Thank @WilliamGreywind (You can find my art stuff under http://forestfantasms.tumblr.com/ or https://www.instagram.com/forestfantasms/ .)I started off by drawing a lot of Wendy for Inktober Wendy and Abi I may be obsessed with Tallbirds, smallbirds, and everything in-between Then I started drawing DS/Invisible Inc crossover art? Draco (from the Contingency Plan DLC) would be impressed by Wendy's edge, if they ever met. DS isn't the only Klei game with a superior-acting automaton/cyborg character (I would be remiss not to advertise a mod my friend made that brings Dr. Xu to DST!)
  5. So I'm a new modder and I'm trying to Reveal Robin Egg (roc_robin_egg) in hamlet minimap when the game starts *for PERSONAL uses only*. But its not working the mod i'm using as a base to do this was made by other modder - "where is chester" by nossr50 it reveals chester eyebone and added an icon to it AND I have ALREADY adapted his code to work in shipwrecked and reveal packim_fishbone as well as adding an Icon to it. my DS coding knowledge is not THAT good, so I'm trying things out until they work, and I've been doing great so far. But for some reason there is something different with hamlet that makes impossible for the game to reveal robin egg when the game is loading. I might not post consistently but I'll use this as a dumping ground for whenever I get the fanart itch (which is usually whenever a new short drops). I should probably mention that when I first joined the forums I was going by Neil for a while, I don't really anymore but you can still call me that if you'd like. Call me whatever you want as long as you don't call me late for dinner.
  7. so me and my friends have survived for over 570 days in a cheatless world, the only "cheats" we used were a few rollbacks and most settings were left to default except disease, I can say I've pretty much done everything, I've killed the bee queen 3 times, I've killed the dragonfly 3 times as well, I've built and used the celestial portal, I've found the lunar island and made glass tools and swords, I've raised a baby tallbird (that ended terribly during a hound wave), and I have killed most seasonal bosses, over and over and over. I have like 8 thick furs from bearger, so I believe that this might be the 8th year of my world, I have tamed a beefalo, I have built a great base in the oasis, we have found and explored the ruins, repaired a pseudoscience station, made thulecite armor duplicated it via construct amulets and deconstruction staff, I have built bunnymen and pigmen villages, and yesterday I killed the ancient guardian and finally made a houndious shootious. Plus I am just bored of every character, the refreshes won't do it for me, and sadly Klei said they won't be really adding any brand new characters in 2020...so what do I do now? stop playing and wait for a new major update?, plus I won't even try killing the raid bosses with the insane amount of HP, I just can't.

  9. Hello! I hope everyone has been having a good Year of the Carrat and a fun time in Don't Starve. Me and my friends were enjoying the Year of the Carrat activities in our server but we all had the same ideas of what could be improved or polished further beyond what it currently was. We really like the kind of chao garden aspect of the whole thing how can you feed your carrat special seeds to change its colors and train it to be more unique and race them against each other for prizes. However we felt it was a little unfinished and I understand it is still in development, but I wanted to just give our collective opinion on it. - The first thing we noticed once we got deeper into the mechanics of it is how the Year of the Carrat menu theme plays whenever you place a carrat in one of the training gyms. This is a good music track especially for the menus but it is really unfitting in the actual game, I know it's based on the Rocky Theme but it's so minor-key and relaxed as a musical piece that instead of making the player feel pumped up that they're training their carrat it kind of does the opposite. We noticed it also immediately cuts off any other music that is playing. - Another issue we kept encountering is just how easy it is to kill your own carrat or a player's carrat. I understand left clicking kills it and right clicking picks it up but when you have to through so much effort to feed your carrat only to accidentally click wrong or to have another player click wrong I think it really goes against the spirit of it. My suggestion would be that if you feed a carrat so that it changes colors, that you can't left click to kill it, and must use the standard ctrl+F to kill it as a neutral monster. I think this should also apply to other players as well. - The only other unanimous criticism we had was that if you start out solo you have to lose to charlie's carrats for many days before you get enough lucky golden nuggets to build the gyms and the scaling equipment. I think this could be easily fixed by nerfing Charlie's carrats so that they have the same stats as the player's carrat or by making it so feeding your carrat will sometimes drop a lucky golden nugget. In the end, a bearger came into our base and destroyed everything (which was our fault) and we were really sad that it also killed the carrats that were training in the gyms when it smashed the gyms to pieces with its quake attack. We thought it would be cool if maybe it was changed so that since the bearger is part badger that maybe its attacks would not effect the carrats or that perhaps the carrats would naturally leave the gym on their own and run from it. Regardless we're having a good time with the Year of the Carrat event and we hope everyone else is as well and that it continues to improve.

My Non-Klei thread: Clickity-poo I also lowkey contributed to "Don't Let the League Starve" with Minespatch and others-. Link-lonk. I'm starting off this thread with all the old stuff I've actually done in the past that I've had to dig up so I have something relevant to put in here! That means some of these have been pulled from my DeviantART (that I rarely use) to show these to you all! <3 My original DS thread can be found here in the shadow realm! And a couple of things too!
  13. Platform: Steam Mods: Yes. None of them have anything to do with Wolly or the trinkets. Version: ...does "Rev 379591 797" mean anything? Because pressing the backspace key didn't bring up anything that outright said "Version X". I assume the most recent since Steam updates the game automatically. I was digging up graves trying to find blue gems, alt+f4-ing whenever a grave gave me something useless like marbles, and I found a couple of toy boats. I was pretty happy because I knew toy boats could be given to Wolly for two blue gems apiece. However, when I actually brought them to Wolly, I got gold instead. Alt-f4-ed out to try again, got flint. Round three, dark petals. Each time it was 9 of the item, which doesn't correspond to the drop table of any of the other trinkets (the closest ones are the hardened rubber bong and the dessicated tentacle, with 8 apiece, according to the wiki). It has been a while since I last played, so did something change in an update and I didn't know? Or what's going on? For reference, this is a Shipwrecked-Compatible Reign of Giants world. I do not have Hamlet or DST.

Remember the DST cinematic where Charlie has two sides (one is her normal personality, and the other is Them{which they processed her}). do you ever wonder that you loved your main so much some strange force pulled your heart; soul; and mind out of your body, then put it inside your main's body. I Thought it would be cool that you, and you main shares the mains body, and communicate with each other within their subconscious. Show or tell everyone your Main/Player Body share, the personality of the player that merged with the DST main, and how where they get along each other :and survival the world that the dark queen Charlie has created. Here is my Player/Main body share of me and Wes. My personality is good; brave; agile; and potential, while Wes' personality is fragile; selective mute, and all mime. The glasses that is on his face is mine, because before my merge to Wes my eye can't see as far far away. We get along just fine because I am always there for him when there is danger with my agile thinking, also Wes and I has a has a passion of being mimes. When He was sleeping Wes has teaching me all of his mime, and balloonomancy. From time to time Wes let me try out his moves in the conscious state. In the strange world that has magic I wanted to try out new balloonomancy Ideas to the other survivors (including Wes) to help with the survival.

    Also available on the Steam Workshop: In Single-Player Form: June the String-Puller [DS][ROG][SW] And Multi-Player Form: June the String-Puller [DST] June is my own OC (from her own universe, not from Don't Starve). As such, please do not reupload this mod and or character without permission. Stats: Health - 110 Hunger - 100 Sanity - 300 Damage Multiplier - x0.85 Attack Interval - 0.3 Perks: Pigmen, Rabbitmen, and Wildboars gain an extra 50% loyalty time when befriended by June. Each gains unique buffs as well! Bunnymen do not aggro on her carrying meat. Starts with 3 meat in her inventory [Don't Starve Only] Can craft a Meat Effigy at the cost of 3 Meat and 3 Monster Meat without the need for prototyping! [Don't Starve Together Only] Can revive off of viable companion mobs. Will not have a max health penalty, but will respawn with only 15 health and kill the companion you haunted (viable companion mobs include Pigmen, Rabbitmen, Rock Lobsters, Chester and Glommer. This can be further modified in configuration) [Don't Starve Together Only] June is a pretty corrupt person, and the more loyal or numerous her following becomes, the more her corruption shows towards others. As such, if June has 3+ followers or at least 1 extremely loyal follower, she will emit an aura, draining other players' sanity. This can also scale up the more followers and or extremely loyal followers you have. Gameplay Style: June is a moderately weak character whose only shining point stat-wise is her immensely high sanity max of 300. Outside of this, her true strength lies when she finds a companion. For instance, feeding a Pigman or Rabbitman will increase their loyalty gained by the food item by 50%. This, combined with her starting inventory of 3 meat, gives you enough food from the start to keep one pig loyal for up to 4.5 days. Even smaller meals can give more loyalty, so you don't have to just feed them meat. Another perk of hers is that Rabbitmen will never aggro on her when she has meat in her inventory, which makes having a following comprised of both Pig and Rabbitmen more viable for her. Her final (and most influential) perk is her ability to revive off of viable companion mobs (includes Pigmen, Rabbitmen, Rock Lobsters, Chester, and Glommer). For doing this however, the companion dies and she spawns in with only 15 health, but does not gain a max-health penalty and possibly even the killed companion's food of choice, allowing you to start the follower cycle all over again. June's followers gain buffs that scale up based on how loyal they are, separated into 4 stages. At stage 1, June's followers become sick of her demands and slack, degrading June's sanity in the process. At stage 2, they are at their default stats. At stage 3, they gain a small buff. At stage 4, they gain a strong buff, passive regeneration, and even passively raise June's sanity over time. (Followers will let you know what stage they're at through comments) It is best recommended to have a small following, so that when food becomes scarce, June doesn't suffer a huge amount of lost sanity. Backstory (for those that want one): June is an anthromorph, a creature composed of both human and animal DNA. Created to live for hundreds of years and look as beautiful as if she was still young. Before her kind was given proper human rights, she was produced as a dime-a-dozen servant/slave whose sole purpose was to please her owner’s demands. However, June was a special case. Unlike other anthromorphs of her time, she was extremely intelligent and didn’t take satisfaction in pleasing her owner, so much so that when her owner got drunk one night, she fooled him into his bedroom with her, and killed him in cold blood. Of course, because of how anthromorphs were “stupid creatures who follow their master’s will,” the courts ruled out murder in favor of suicide and June got off scot free. From then on she used her mind and body to trick unknowing people into doing exactly what she wanted. Now, trapped in the world of Don’t Starve, she finds her skills of manipulation being put to the test, as she now must use them to make her way through using this world’s smartest creatures… believe me… that isn’t saying much. If you've downloaded June off of this page and not the Steam Workshop and suffer from a game-crashing bug, please make sure to check and see if your version is up to date before reporting. Currently June's version is: 1.3.4 for Don't Starve Together (see changelog for more information) 1.1.3 for Don't Starve (see changelog for more information) Known Bugs: [Don't Starve Only] When saving a game and re-loading it, any companions you currently have will have their loyalty reset to 100% (50% in the case of June's loyalty increasing perk) if their current loyalty to June at the time of saving exceeded the maximum default loyalty. [Don't Starve Together Only] If you enable Widgette by Dragon Wolf Leo and have one player play as June with another as Widgette, the one playing as Widgette will crash (I believe this has something to do with both having lightning in their modmain... but I don't believe I can fix this since it could be June or it could be Widgette...     Simple Java application that allows its user to split the contents of Klei's TEX files using their respective XML atlases. In other words... Using it is simple: - The first text field is for the XML file. It usually has the same name as the TEX file and is found in the same folder. - The second text field is for the PNG file. The tool will accept TEX files if it is put in the same folder as simplex's ktools. - The third field is for the output folder. All images contained in the PNG/TEX will be put there when they're extracted. As I've previously mentioned, this tool does NOT convert TEX files to PNG. It will make ktech from ktools do so if they are in the same folder. The second field's label will change from to if ktech.exe is detected.

  25. Hi, Here's A Tutorial of how to install this mouse cursors: Well the first thing to do is: Download the cursors. Open your Control Panel Go to Mouse Properties Go to Pointers Select Diagram and choose None Double Click on Normal Selection This Window will show up. Now go to the cursors folder And select Normal This will happen We have to do it with all And then save as you want And There you go You can enable cursor shadow if you want Apply & Save. Remember this: You have to have the cursors in a permanent folder (or wherever you want) because if you move it or delete it this will stop working.
