      UPDATED - Studio Note & Rhymes with Play Streams Temporarily Canceled.   03/06/2020

      UPDATE (3/19/20): Just a quick note regarding the team at Klei Entertainment. As noted previously, everybody at Klei Entertainment is working from home due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many of us have been working especially hard to help maintain operations as we all move out of the office and into our homes and with everything being done online, extra time must be spent in organizing conversations and trying to maintain communication. As some of you may know, we have a very open office and we are almost always in contact with each other as we go about our days. Some of us work across multiple teams and that work has become a bit more challenging for everybody.   That being said, at this time the transition has not caused any major disruption in our operations, but it would be overly optimistic to expect that we won't have any delays at all. We're going to have to be especially mindful about this in the coming weeks and make sure we don't take on too much work so we can keep things running smoothly.  We will let you know as we see how these changes affect our timelines.  Thanks UPDATE (3/10/20):
      The test yesterday went well. We got the whole office (mostly) to work from home without significant issue. As a result, Klei Staff that can work from home have been asked to do so until further notice.  This means that we will have to cancel the Rhymes with Play stream until we are all back in the office. This shouldn't affect anything else at least in the short term, but if things change I will update you all here.  Original Post: Hey everybody,  This Tuesday March 10th, 2020 the entire staff at Klei will be working remotely for 1 day in an effort to prepare the studio to work remotely for a little while if the need arises.  Klei is already set up pretty well to allow for working remotely, however we are going to have a one day "dry run" with the whole studio so that we can identify and avoid any issues or downtime that may arise should choose to implement a work from home policy due to COVID-19 outbreak concerns. Unfortunately this does mean that we will be canceling the “Rhymes with Play” Art stream this coming Tuesday, however unless the situation changes we expect everything at the studio to be back to normal Wednesday and we’ll continue our regular stream schedule Thursday March 12th. If the situation changes at all, we'll let you know. Thanks for your understanding.

    Description A character mod based on Satori Komeiji from Touhou Project. Satori is a mind reading youkai. Her ability made her hated by humans and other youkai who fear their secrets being exposed, but made her loved by the animals who normally can't be understood. After knowing that her little sister is lost somewhere in the island she decided to look for her to bring her back home. Character Abilities Stats -Hunger: 150 -Health: 100 -Sanity: 250 -Wendy's attack modifier Perks -Can read the thoughts of the creatures around her. -Can tame pets by giving them food. Every pet has their specific taming item(s). -The animals don't fear her but she is not liked by humanoid creatures such as pigmen. -Has a high base sanity but loses it for hurting the animals who trust her. -Has a sanity bonus while she is in caves. Tameable Pets -Rabbit: Gives a sanity boost. Can be picked up. -Beefalo: Assists Satori in combat and protects her from any danger. Drops manure from time to time. -Koalefant: Defensive pet. Prevents freezing in winter. Drops manure from time to time. -Tallbird: Attack pet. Can be fed monster meat but doesn't like new pets. Mod's Features -Custom art, portraits and icons (including minimap and morgue ones). -Custom character strings. -Modified behaviour on several npcs. -Custom strings on several npcs (thoughts). -Custom battle AI for pets. They stop attacking their target if Satori runs away. -Hunger system for pets. You need to feed them or they'll leave her. -Custom sanity penalties. -Modified intro. -Custom music. Art: Shia Coding: Terri Satori's strings: Wally Notes -Compatible with RoG but she doesn't have any special feature from the DLC yet. -The mod is tested without any other mod activated. If you have a mod that changes behaviours/creatures prefabs it might not work well. To do -Add more "thoughts" to npcs. -Add more tameable pets. -Add Koishi (Satori's little sister) as an unlockable character. -Rewrite/modify the game's ending.

    Upon death, politely asks if you *really* want to die. This dialog will only be presented if you don't have a regular resurrection method available, such as a Meat Effigy (including one on the surface, if inside a cave). Reloading a save takes you back to the last point the game saved. Resurrecting gives you the option to instantly resurrect at the spot you're at or on the next day, at the nearest Fire Pit. Both methods of resurrection give you 10 seconds of invulnerability. Being a permadeath game is a big part of Don't Starve's appeal, so use at your own discretion. Icon by @Willette.     My second ever mod character, brought back to be released! Also the inspiration for my now abandoned Wurbert character. Here's a video of an earlier version by the brilliant Jon from Jardev! Writhe is one of the shadow creatures, but he was mentally challenged, and could never fit in. So the others bullied him, trying to kill him off. Maxwell pitied Writhe, and defended him best he could. As he grew weaker, his last option was to send Writhe out into the open world, as far away from the other shadows as possible. Writhe sees Maxwell as his farther figure. STATS: -Health =120 -Hunger = 180, and can only eat meat and nightmare fuel. -Sanity = 1, and constantly drains. - Short vision -Can't equip any hand-slot items due to him having blades for arms. Instead he has the armguards listed below. +Walks 1.2 times normal speed. +Teleports a short distance when attacked. +Attacks deal more damage over time. Instead of attacking once, he jumps into the air and wildly slashes at enemies. While he does more damage, this can not be interrupted and leaves him vulnerable. He also does lots of damage unarmed. Can examine shadow creatures! Eating nightmare fuel will give back: 1 sanity 34 health 6 hunger Items: Daddy's Spare coat: The dapper coat Maxwell wears in adventure mode! While wearing it, Writhe will stop losing and gain sanity during the day, and the sanity loss during night is slowed by a lot. Sack of Helpful goods: A sack that spawns next to him when a new game starts. Gives 3 charcoal, 2 meat, and the Divine-O-Pones in adventure. Divine-O-Phones: Headphones he only gets in adventure mode. Not only do they tell you where the things are, you can also make them play music by right-clicking on them while they're equipped. Rather Plain Armguards: Works as a mining pick and axe. Mines at 20% speed and chops at 30%. Very slow! Swiss Arm-y Guards: Works as a mining pick, axe, and shovel. Mines at 30% speed and chops at 40% normal. Gives an extra 12 damage to your attacks. Still very slow. Requires science machine. Kingly Armguards: Works as a mining pick, axe, hammer, and shovel. Mines at 50%, chops at 60%, hammers at 40%, and gives an extra 18 damage to your attacks. Requires Alchemy Engine Handy Man's Maces: Works as a mining pick, axe, shovel, and hammer. Mines at 70%, chops at 80%, and hammers at 60%. Gives and extra 24 damage, and also functions as a divining rod. Requires a repaired Pseudo Science Station to craft. So you need to go to the ruins! Flamey-Wamey Thingadoo: A long-lasting torch. Breaks after running out of fuel. You can also shoot fireballs at enemies to ignite them, but this uses a lot of fuel. Mole-Whacker Mollet: Acts as a very weak hammer. Can also be used to whack moleworms. and pick them up to make the rain hat. Only available with Reign of Giants. Sticky Snatchers: Act as a bugnet. Simple as that. Known issues: If you quit and rejoin a save while wearing the Divine-O-Phones, you have to take them off and put them back on for the music to work.

    “Hero in the Dark” – Is a traditional fantasy mod This mod will incorporate traditional fantasy elements and lore while retaining the artistic style and the survive or die elements of Don’t Starve. A large focus of the lore and design of the mod will be from D&D and other games/books within the genre. Make a beautiful field of flowers in no time! [*]Plant Nightmare Fuel on the ground for evil flowers. Costs 5 sanity [*]Plant Cut Reeds on the ground for Reed Plants. Must be on Marsh Turf! Adds option to dig up reed plants but is off by default, See Configurations to turn on. [*]Crop seeds: Plant Durian seeds on the ground for sleeping Mandrakes. Plant Carrot seeds on the ground for rabbit holes. Plant Pomegranate seeds on the ground for berry bushesPomegranates are berries after all. [*]*New* Adds Mushroots, which you get from digging mushrooms up, instead of a second mushroom cap, and it lets you transplant a mushroom to a new location. Digging and replanting the mushroom will cause it to take longer to regrow than just picking it. [*]Adds Asporen, which drops from Mushtrees and can be planted into Mushtree saplings. Asporen is a pun of spore and acorn, what do you mean that is the worst pun you have ever heard? Mushtree Saplings become Mushtrees in 5-3 days. "Completely Average Sapling" sprouts in 10-4 days When they sprout they have a chance to become a Totally Normal Tree, Treeguard, or a Poison birchnut trees (RoG DLC only obviously). *New* Can feed it Nightmare Fuel which deacreases the amount of time it will take to grow, but each Fuel you give it makes it more likely to turn into a Treeguard or Poison birchnut than a Totally Normal Tree. Also if you deacrease the amount of time to the point it grows instantly it scares 10 sanity from you. [*]Plant Tentacle Spots on the ground for Tentacles. Must be on Marsh turf, cost 10 sanity [*]Plant Beefalo Wool on the ground for TallBird Nest. Why Beefalo wool? That is what Maxwell said they were made of. Can't be planted in caves. Must be Dirt turf aka no turf or Rocky turf, TallBirds will spawn after 4-2 days. [*]Plant Light bulbs for Light Flowers. When planted it has a chance to plant a single, double, or triple bulbed Light Flower, the math:single - 66% double - 24% triple - 10% [*]Light Flowers can now be dug but all you will get is a Foliage and the respective amount of bulbs if in bloom. This is for the convenient of removing them without having to burn them. [*]Can be set to only be plantable in caves, see Configurations [*]Adds Banana Seeds! What do you mean bananas don't have seeds? You don't know how bananas work, nobody does! Obtained by feeding bananas to a caged bird. Banana Seeds can be planted on ground for a Cave Banana Trees or in farm for one Cave Bananas. Cave banana trees Can be set to only be plantable in caves, see Configurations. Things that have gone away or change from my mod since previous versions: You can plant Light Flowers anywhere regardless of turf while in the cave and overworld. Tall Birds initially spawning from a planted nests is now a variable time instead of static. Planting living logs no longer just spawns a Treeguard right away. Planting Marble no longer just spawns a Marble Tree right away You now plant Mushroots instead of Mushroom Caps for mushrooms and you get Asporens from Mushtrees and can grow Mushtrees with them. My mod no longer alters the behavior of mushrooms in caves, this does mean that they won't grow in caves in Base since it does not rain in them. The minimap can be collapsed by hovering over it and clicking the "Close Minimap" button The zoom levels of the minimap and the map screen are both saved and are independent of eachother FAQ Q: Is it possible to change the shape of the minimap? A: As far as I know, no, it is not possible.

    For those who don't know: In nature, when a bee colony grows too large, or when the hive has two queen bees that won't fight to the death, the colony will divide in half and half of the bees will accompany the leaving queen to form a new hive some place nearby. What that means to this mod: When a hive grows old enough, it's bees will work together to form a new beehive somewhere close by. That's pretty much it. In a nutshell, this makes honeycomb a renewable resource. Recent Changes: -Killer Bee Hives can now also divide, optional, off by default. -Bee Boxes can now also create beehives, optional, off by default.

  22. Ash Fertilizer



    For anyone who doesn't know: Wood ashes are very good for your garden and almost all plants can benefit from them. In addition to ashes enriching your soil with the valuable nutrients your plants use to grow big and strong, they're also very good for detouring pests like snails, aphids and cutworms. Coincidentally, the nutritional value plants receive from ashes is the reason the rainforests have been decreasing over the years. The local farmers burn them down to enrich the soil for the next growing season. It's not aerosol sprays or car exhaust, no matter what your teacher told you. But as with everything gardening related, always make sure your plants are compatible with the product in question before you apply it. What that means to this mod: This mod allows you to use ashes as a fertilizer. Click it on anything that needs to be fertilized, the same as you would for manure, rot or guano. Ashfarms have also been added. They grow crops slightly faster than improved farms but need to be fertilized way more often and are instantly destroyed by rain. This took so long to implement because I had to wait for the Six Feet Under update, which fixes many bugs with the ashfarms. Changes: -I want to say I updated it to be compatible with RoG but RoG is now stable enough to support ashfarms on it's own without needing me to change anything.(That's why I didn't bother updating it when RoG was still new.) -Fixed crashes related to specific hud sizes. Thanks to HaZ_MiDNighT for helping me troubleshoot this. -Added ashfarms by request. It doesn't function as requested but I'm the one running the show here. -Fine tuned fertilizer values. -Made wetgoop and fish, both fresh and cooked, valid fertilizers as requested.     This mod adds two new mushrooms, the Super Mushroom and the Mini Mushroom. The Super Mushroom will make you larger, while the Mini Mushroom will make you small. While under the effect of either, health, damage and movement speed all scale in relation to the eater. The effect lasts for about 20 seconds. Eating more of the same kind of mushroom increases the duration of the effect. Eating mushrooms of the opposite type will reduce the time, or it will reverse the eater's size, depending on much time is left. Both mushrooms have a chance of randomly appearing in certain situations. To name a few, one may appear while you're chopping down trees, picking flowers, digging up grass or even just walking around. They have a perish time of 30 days. They provide no hunger or sanity benefits. Technically, they provide no direct health benefits either but the act of growing larger increases your health. NOTE: In the caves, they count as a vegetable but every where else, they're a meat. I know it doesn't make any sense but I had to make it that way so spiders, hounds and such will eat any laying around(in case you're wondering why anyone would want a Mini Mushroom). But I made them a vegetable in the caves so Bunnymen won't attack you for having them in your inventory. I'm aware this isn't totally balanced and I don't care. I made it so everyone's world of Don't Starve will be a little more fun and magical. Recent Changes: -Fixed a crash related to caves.     2.0 Changes: - new version of wall gates without recolor, they glow gold when you mouse over them - configuration options you can pick normal (default) or recolored version - you can pick recipe for wall gates, you can pick gears or electrical doodad (switched for more gold when RoG not enabled) or just gold for very cheap wall gates - you can open and close wooden and hay wall gate while holding a torch Different kind of walls, you can open and close them so they act like a doors. You can now close your base area and don't have to use hammer to get in/out and rebuild your walls. You can build Wall Gates using alchemy engine. To build one you need: 1 wall segment, 2 gold nuggets and gears Wall Gates now drops gears when you hammer them. Build one Wall Gate and then repair it with it repair material (wall segments, stone, wood, cut grass) to get it higher. Now you can open/close up to 4 segments at once. Just make sure to use middle segments to open/close them. If you want multiply entrances/exits from your base make sure they are 2 normal wall segments away from each other so they wont be affected by other wall gates, as shown on screenshots.
