      UPDATED - Studio Note & Rhymes with Play Streams Temporarily Canceled.   03/06/2020

      UPDATE (3/19/20): Just a quick note regarding the team at Klei Entertainment. As noted previously, everybody at Klei Entertainment is working from home due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Many of us have been working especially hard to help maintain operations as we all move out of the office and into our homes and with everything being done online, extra time must be spent in organizing conversations and trying to maintain communication. As some of you may know, we have a very open office and we are almost always in contact with each other as we go about our days. Some of us work across multiple teams and that work has become a bit more challenging for everybody.   That being said, at this time the transition has not caused any major disruption in our operations, but it would be overly optimistic to expect that we won't have any delays at all. We're going to have to be especially mindful about this in the coming weeks and make sure we don't take on too much work so we can keep things running smoothly.  We will let you know as we see how these changes affect our timelines.  Thanks UPDATE (3/10/20):
      The test yesterday went well. We got the whole office (mostly) to work from home without significant issue. As a result, Klei Staff that can work from home have been asked to do so until further notice.  This means that we will have to cancel the Rhymes with Play stream until we are all back in the office. This shouldn't affect anything else at least in the short term, but if things change I will update you all here.  Original Post: Hey everybody,  This Tuesday March 10th, 2020 the entire staff at Klei will be working remotely for 1 day in an effort to prepare the studio to work remotely for a little while if the need arises.  Klei is already set up pretty well to allow for working remotely, however we are going to have a one day "dry run" with the whole studio so that we can identify and avoid any issues or downtime that may arise should choose to implement a work from home policy due to COVID-19 outbreak concerns. Unfortunately this does mean that we will be canceling the “Rhymes with Play” Art stream this coming Tuesday, however unless the situation changes we expect everything at the studio to be back to normal Wednesday and we’ll continue our regular stream schedule Thursday March 12th. If the situation changes at all, we'll let you know. Thanks for your understanding.

  3. Ash Fertilizer



    For anyone who doesn't know: Wood ashes are very good for your garden and almost all plants can benefit from them. In addition to ashes enriching your soil with the valuable nutrients your plants use to grow big and strong, they're also very good for detouring pests like snails, aphids and cutworms. Coincidentally, the nutritional value plants receive from ashes is the reason the rainforests have been decreasing over the years. The local farmers burn them down to enrich the soil for the next growing season. It's not aerosol sprays or car exhaust, no matter what your teacher told you. But as with everything gardening related, always make sure your plants are compatible with the product in question before you apply it. What that means to this mod: This mod allows you to use ashes as a fertilizer. Click it on anything that needs to be fertilized, the same as you would for manure, rot or guano. Ashfarms have also been added. They grow crops slightly faster than improved farms but need to be fertilized way more often and are instantly destroyed by rain. This took so long to implement because I had to wait for the Six Feet Under update, which fixes many bugs with the ashfarms. Changes: -I want to say I updated it to be compatible with RoG but RoG is now stable enough to support ashfarms on it's own without needing me to change anything.(That's why I didn't bother updating it when RoG was still new.) -Fixed crashes related to specific hud sizes. Thanks to HaZ_MiDNighT for helping me troubleshoot this. -Added ashfarms by request. It doesn't function as requested but I'm the one running the show here. -Fine tuned fertilizer values. -Made wetgoop and fish, both fresh and cooked, valid fertilizers as requested. If you have any issues, suggestions or comments, please feel free to leave them.

Carnivorous dieting-can eat monster meat I have currently discontinued this mod, partly because there is now a Webber character in the Don't Starve RoG DLC.

    This is a very tiny and very simple mod that allows logs, gold, spider glands, lureplant bulbs, manure, guano, spider eggs, living logs, boards, cut stone, rope, honeycombs and all foods to stack up to 40. Changes: -Increased maximum stack size for honeycomb. -Increased maximum stack size for all foods. -Increased maximum stack size for living logs, boards, cut stone, and rope to 40 too. -Added .tex display picture, thanks to Simplex's png-tex converter for Linux(and macs too I guess)! -Increased maximum stack size for lureplant bulbs, manure, guano, and spider eggs to 40 too. -Increased maximum stack size for gold and spider glands to 40 too. The crafting recipes can be found under the Refine Tab.

    Back by my insistence, the Speech Modification Template! This file contains all you need to easily make speech file modifications on existing characters, or to make ones completely out of nothing for a custom character. Or even add or change quotes for Lucy or Pigmen! And now, it is fully updated both for the latest version of All's Well That's Maxwell, and the Reign of Giants "Feet of Strength" updates! I am merely continuing the work WrathOf started, but couldn't keep up with as he passed into inactivity. If he comes back one day and asks me to take this down, I will have to, i'm afraid. But until then, here you go. A nice little modder's tool. How to use: Download the proper file. If you're using the DLC, then you want version 1.6. Otherwise, stick with 1.5. Extract the zip file, then open the ExtraEnglish.lua file. Everything you need is there, all the generic describe quotes are alphabetized. Let me know if I missed anything important, or if there are some items missing from the template.

But his interests were more into robots and mechanical stuff. He now finds himself in a strange, unfamiliar place full of creatures beyond his wildest imaginings. STATS: -Slower than most characters by just a small bit. -Is weaker than most characters. +Starts off with 5 gears and a cane Average hunger -Low health +Very high sanity +Already knows the Science machine recipes (like Wickerbottom) +Very slow passive health regen. +Has a 0.1x armour bonus +Enters Nightmare Form when sanity is below 45. Nightmare Form stats (that differ from normal William's) +150 health + Deals more damage +Replaces science bonus with magic bonus (Prestihatilator recipes become available) +Gets a cool new voice -Hunger depletes significantly faster. You need to craft mechanical what-not (a new item) and a shell for the specific robot to creat your robot. These pieces are found in the Refine tab! You can use a hammer or wrench to tell your companion to leave you alone and then feed them a carrot (seeds for reapers) or gears to heal them and make them follow you again!     Improves the information shown in game crashes by displaying information about the entity that triggered it. Disclaimer: This mod is primarily meant for other modders. While its use is simple (since it simply needs to be enabled) and the information it presents might help tracking down the cause of bugs even in vanilla Don't Starve, the discussion below, explaining what the presented information means, assumes some level of familiarity with the inner workings of Don't Starve. Whenever a crash occurs, this mod will attempt to find the entity "responsible" for it and show a set of information about it, in order to help to track down the root cause of the issue. Scenarios where the entity is found include crashes triggered within prefab files, components, stategraphs and brains*. The following information about the entity is shown: Its number (its GUID) and its prefab name; Its variable name, within the function that triggered the crash (this may be an "indirect" variable name, such as self.inst); Whether the entity is valid; Whether the entity is in limbo (i.e., whether it was removed from the scene); Whether it's asleep (in the sense that it is not active); How long it's been alive (i.e., how long it has been since it was spawned, noting that reloading a save respawns all entities); Its position (as world coordinates); Its distance to the player. In the error screen, the entity information is presented on the right of the stack trace (hence dividing the usual text region into two columns). See the attached screenshot for an example (obtained by replicating this bug with the mod enabled). In the same example, the following is printed in log.txt: Note that, unfortunately, usage of this mod causes two "LUA ERROR stack traceback" blocks to be printed per error (the second being a "continuation" of the first). This happens because for the mod to work it needs to catch an error and then rethrow it. * The general condition is the following: the mod takes a look at the first parameter passed to the function that caused the crash (the "self" parameter, if any, counts as the first); if this parameter is an entity, this entity's information is displayed; otherwise, if this parameter is a table with an entity stored in its "inst" field, this entity's information is displayed.     A while a go I made a lil' video of how I draw. In it, I drew a picture of Maxwell with make-up, and a pal of mine thought it would make a great mod. What it does: Maxwell (NPC and player) wears pink lipstick, purple eye-liner, and blush. My Better Maxwell mod is included free, so he'll look more like the NPC. Shadow Puppets are purple with big, lip-stick smiles and heavy blush. and some eye-liner. Maxwell's bigportrait also has make-up. Maxwell's menu quote, description, and title are changed.

The use() function works just like require(), but looks for files taking the (root) mod directory as a base and runs them inside the mod environment. Feel free to just drop use.lua into your mods.     This mod adds a new item to the game, the friendship wand! whenever you strike a foe with it, they will obey any command (or, yknow just follow you around and kill stuff for you) you give them!
