They don't have a ladder section to move down to, as they are both holding on to what used to be a ladder section 2 tiles above the next one down. So basically, it comes down to a missing animation. Which is to be expected from an early alpha. I wouldn't call it a bug, because nothing is bugging. It's just that there is no animation currently to show that the dupe is stuck, with no path to escape the square they are currently in, because you removed it. I guess you could suggest though, that if they wanted to make it more realistic, that the game should check that if dupes have had their path removed, could they instead enter the fall animation, and fall to the next block down. But again, that's not really a bug, it's a suggestion for realism.

" but they do have the ability to climb up the side of a tile as can be seen in every other situation, in the game " Yeah, if they are is a state of walking, not in a state of climbing. You can see in both your screenshots, they are not in a state of walking, so they cant move sideways, they can only continue to move up or down. The only time a dupe can move sideways from a ladder in a climbing state is directly left or right to another ladder.

" Bugs 1 and 3 are bugs - if the Dup is stuck but a potential path exists, " But that's just it. There is no potential path. If a dupe is in a climbing state, they climb only to the top of the ladder, as in, their body is on the top section of ladder. Not that their body is completely above the section of ladder with their feet on the top of it. That's not how ladders work. This is what i mean by " They can't pull themselves above the end of a ladder. "

Well.. i can confirm that they don't work fine like that, and often do break in the way your picture is describing. Been testing for over 80 hours now. I'm not saying that's what your issue is, but dismissing it and saying that's simply not it, and that they work fine is wrong. The switches and wiring were so buggy so often that i had to completely change the way i wire stuff up. And since making those changes, it's worked perfectly for at least 1000 cycles.

Can you press "Alt + Enter" to go into windowed mode to see if that helps?

I get this too, is it not just the autosave?

Water stagnant in pipes though it could exit
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on kire456's bug in Oxygen Not Included
You have 2 inputs, and 4 outputs. They are jamming each other up. -
Yeah, sounds like your food just spoiled, as it does.
-
JoshNewTerra it looks like your graphics is having a hard time. What graphics card are you using? Are you using DX11? (It looks like you are, just asking)
-
Not a bug. They can't reach that spot.

OxygenNotIncluded.exe has stopped working
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on urossaronjic's bug in Oxygen Not Included
NtDll appcrashes are usually caused by corrupt windows, or faulty hardware drivers. Did you update your drivers (especially graphics) before you started playing this game? -

Gas Vents are overpressurized. Always.
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on JonathanSmith's bug in Oxygen Not Included
It's not a visual bug. They are over pressurized. They are working too though. The reason is that they are toggling quickly between working and not. So the icon just stays there. This is because your pump and vent are in the same area. -
Not breathing in "Breathable" air?
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on CreepingPenguin's bug in Oxygen Not Included
How thick is that air though? Once the oxygen is thin enough, they have a hard time breathing it, although it is technically a breathable gas. -
Cannot place airlock to replace tile blocks
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on Admo's bug in Oxygen Not Included
How is this a bug? You need to deconstruct the tile to do that. You can place anything over mine-able blocks. You can't place anything you want over tiles. -
Just having your hunger and toilet needs reach a point counts as interrupted sleep. They don't actually need to get up. It's not a bug. Perhaps it would be better if they tweaked it, though.

I too have had these appear, but even in places that are not a cot, or where someone has gone to sleep on the floor. I've had floor lamps do this too.

(Small) Duplicant levelling display bug
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on ConorMordor's bug in Oxygen Not Included
The -5 athletics is a debuff. Howard started off with 0 athletics. That's his athletics stat. He gained a stat to get to athletics 1. As the message stated. The anemic debuff is a debuff, so it's applied to your base stats. This means when Howard is at 1 athletics, it will show -4 in his stats, but he is actually at 1 athletics base stat. It's not a bug. You would see the same thing happen with any stat buff/debuff, like the early bird stuff for example. -
What is your card and drivers? It looks like it's a graphics card issue..

If it goes below around -218 it crashes the game. This is because it would be turning into a solid, not a liquid. Oxygen turning from a gas directly to a solid seems to be crashy.

Bug 1 and 3 are because you are not understanding ladders. You need to build them 2 tiles ABOVE where they need to go, or they will often get stuck. This is because they are climbing the ladder to the level they are trying to reach. They can't pull themselves above the end of a ladder. You can see in both, they are on the ladder, so to get up, they need to CLIMB higher, they can't just step up. Bug 4 would just be a rounding issue. You probably have slightly less than 50 bleached stone (say 49.97) and so the game just tells you that you have 50. This is because bleached stone decays slightly over time, and you will lose mass. It turns into chlorine gas. So if for example a puff of 1024mg of chlorine gas came off of your 10kg of bleached stone, you would then actually only have 9.999kg of bleached stone. When displaying this number, the game will round it off to 10kg, but internally you only have 9.999kg.

Could you upload a pic? or post your file to a video sharing site so we don't have to download your file to help you?

They should be in plumbing, even if you haven't researched them yet, they will just be ghosted /grey. Are you not seeing them at all?

Puffs Climbing down a ladder and suiciding into a tile
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on NonFat's bug in Oxygen Not Included
Don't put ladders in. Pufts will die if they are touching a tile for too long. If you force them to sit in a spot next to a tile (especially above and below) they will eventually suffocate. If you can pause it at the exact second the death animation is about to start, you can see they suffocated to death. I had 5 pufts next to eachother in 1x1 rooms, and 1 by one they all died. Some took 20 cycles, others just a few. When i opened up the rooms to 3x3's none died in over 30 cycles. If you look closely at the pufts when they are in a 1x1, they do a little jiggle every few seconds. This is normally when they would move around. It's exactly when all the others jiggle that 1 will die; This means they are dying when trying to move while next to a tile. Death by a pixel in a wall! -
I can't enter Oxygen Not Included
SpoonsOnMyElbows commented on HenryWhite's bug in Oxygen Not Included
Are you running in a window? Have you tried pressing Alt + Enter when it looks like that?
