  1. I was able to do this in single player Don't Starve, but I can't figure out how to do it in DST - I'd like to have this character I'm working on have a minor sanity drain rate when on a boat on the ocean, separate from the wetness sanity drain, basically the same as Woodleg's gain but reversed. Seeing as Woodlegs' code isn't in DST to work off of, nor would it work if I just copy-pasted, and as I'm basically lua illiterate, I'm not even sure where I should start.
  2. I... Will admit I didn't think of that, thank you! I'll do that
  3. Okay, so I'm working on a character mod, and their base design has gloves with visible cuffs - sometimes when he emotes, these cuffs are in the wrong place, as I didn't have a reference to where they should be when I edited his hand sprites. But if I had the sprites of a hand skin that has cuffs as well, such as the hand covers, unprotective gloves, buckled gloves or driving gloves, I'd be able to use those as a reference. I understand that the image files for skins are kept under tight wraps for good reason, so I can't just get them out myself - but is there a way to get my hands on these, in a way that won't upset the devs? For the record, I do NOT intend to trace these. Tracing and referencing are not the same. (Please don't make fun of me because it's Shadow the Hedgehog. I know. I've heard it all before.)
  4. I'm making a character who has a phobia of lightning. I'd like to make it so every time there's a lightning strike, there's a sanity penalty. I have no idea where to start, though. I know that I need to write in some code in the character's main script page, but that's about it. Can I get some help? (If there's already a topic covering this, just link me to that. I find navigating forums to be incredibly difficult...)
  5. I'm trying to make a character who's rather quick and physically strong, but it's pretty jarring to see them slow aaall the way down when carrying a chunk of marble statue. He'd normally be able to carry them somewhat faster than the average person, but I have no idea how to do this. Well, except that it probably has to do with stuff in tuning, and this line of code in the suspicious marble prefab. inst.components.equippable.walkspeedmult = TUNING.HEAVY_SPEED_MULT Where would I start?
  6. Sorry for the late reply Yeah, I decided to post this because it just didn't feel right to go through a mod that someone else made and pull bits out for myself, especially one that had so much effort put into it (AWESOME work btw!) But like, for now I've decided to keep his speed static - I'm moving this mod to singleplayer (specifically shipwrecked) and I'm balancing his fast movespeed with thalassophobia (severe fear of the ocean) and with all the time spent at sea, I think that adds risk to the character to make him more fair.
  7. I would like to make it so my mod character has a slightly above average starting speed, and have their speed increase over time as they move. I've seen another mod character do a similar thing, but I felt like just copy+pasting the code would be pretty rude of me. Another thing, not necessary but would be appreciated, is if I could get some help with making sanity drain faster with wetness level. Thanks!
  8. I try to host a server and all's going well unless I select the mod, then it crashes as soon as I try to generate the world Is this the right kind of log? It's the best one I could find. Thanks much for the help ;w; client_log_2016-10-11-16-07-01.txt
  9. I've been working on this mod since may, and it's only started crashing the game today so obviously it was a recent change - but I can't figure out what! Could anyone have a look and see if they can fix anything? (Yes, it's shadow the hedgehog don't judge me) Shadow
