  1. The game thinks in tiles as units. One tile can only have one material occupying it. His legs are in a tile occupied by water but his head is in a tile of air. While the animation cause shim to haunch over and lower his head, that's only visual. They also can't differentiate the depth of the water in less than one tile units. A full tile of water and a tiny layer of water is the same for the game, which is why you see a blueish mist over thin layers of water as it takes the whole tile, and also why liquids sometimes look weird sticking to the ceiling above them and such despite being only a little amount.
  2. It did indeed! Thank you! Note: without quotation marks.
  3. Starting the game from Steam. A crash window appears with garbled text for a fragment of a second(*) then the game UI with the message about it being in development, then crash. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz Driver: NVIDIA Corporation GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 Driver Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 387.34 OpenGL Version: 4.6 "Arch Linux" (64 bit) Kernel Name: Linux Kernel Version: 4.14.3-1-ARCH X Server Vendor: The X.Org Foundation X Server Release: 11905000 X Window Manager: KWin Steam Runtime Version: steam-runtime-beta-release_2017-10-05 Console log: https://pastebin.com/E7qcmXbN Player.log attache * See: P.s.: Cannot upload log file in the log file section because it refuses to accept .log extension... 4. Mine crashes on start, and I see the same garbled crash report for a moment. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz Driver: NVIDIA Corporation GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 Driver Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 387.34 OpenGL Version: 4.6 "Arch Linux" (64 bit) Kernel Name: Linux Kernel Version: 4.14.3-1-ARCH X Server Vendor: The X.Org Foundation X Server Release: 11905000 X Window Manager: KWin Steam Runtime Version: steam-runtime-beta-release_2017-10-05
  5. Same here. Game starts, message about it being in development displays for a second, then crash. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz Driver: NVIDIA Corporation GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2 Driver Version: 4.6.0 NVIDIA 387.34 OpenGL Version: 4.6 "Arch Linux" (64 bit) Kernel Name: Linux Kernel Version: 4.14.3-1-ARCH X Server Vendor: The X.Org Foundation X Server Release: 11905000 X Window Manager: KWin Steam Runtime Version: steam-runtime-beta-release_2017-10-05 Also having garbled crash report, which only shows for a fragment of a second before disappearing. 6. Given the fact that you need plastic for traps chances are they all die before you can make your first trap...
  7. We had this problem a long time ago and it was fixed then, but now it's back. I wonder though if only mechanized or normal airlock too? I need to test.
  8. Oil update Alpha Hatches can enter closed Pneumatic doors then cannot leave, trapping themselves.
  9. I'm on the Oil update Alpha branch. (Mechanized) airlocks destroy large amounts of Oxygen every time they operate. This is a large problem, I'm losing a lot Oxygen this way. See screenshot of low pressure area created by airlock destroying air. After dupes going through it a few times, the refrigerator room will be in nearly vacuum.
  10. I had a bit of trouble finding the actual Oil upgrade info because it is missing from https://forums.kleientertainment.com/game-updates/oni-alpha/
  11. I don't know if Klei released a hotfix and I just didn't see, but Wheezeworts seem to work again.
  12. The weird part is that the bug seems to affect only some gases.
  13. The first thing I noticed is that from the several worts planted, most seem to do no any cooling at all, except one planted in my Electrolyzer room, but even that barely cools at all. I had one Wheezewort in a small, sealed room with oxygen and it disappeared rather quickly while the door was closed. That's how I finally figured why my Bristle Blossom rooms where I also planted them always suffer from low pressure. You mentioned you don't lose Hydrogen, which seems to explain whey the one in my Electrolyzer room did a little cooling while the rest did nearly nothing, as there is a little hydrogen in that room always. But right now, because of this the worts are useless, and even harmful. Based on what I've seen I must have lost remendous amounts of Oxygen to them. Before planting them my base was on max pressure and my pipes were completely filled with Oxygen, then I started to have mysterious pressure issues and my Electrolyzers couldn't keep up anymore.
  14. Wheezewort sucks in gases but does not emit them back, slowly destroying the atmosphere around itself until it's nearly vacuum. This does not only mean they waste your precious Oxygen, but also that they don't really cool anymore since they don't emit cooled gases.
  15. Anyone knows what is the maximum content of pipes and how to use them at max efficiency? I have two liquid pumps on one pipe and two gas pumps on one pipe but only one is pumping. Does that mean the max capacity of pipes is exactly as much as one pump can pump? Or there is a way to use two pumps without having to run two pipes?
  16. Except you can't turn off a coal generator by cutting the power.
  17. You should try actually reading this thread before complaining, because all those were answered here or in the patch notes. Puft not making slime is a bug and is reported already "Fiber plants" are planted on the new Aquatic Farm Tile. There are now steam geysers producing infinite steam. The devs mentioned adding new ways of making steam so we can assume teh Tepidizer should be able to boil water and it's a bug that it can't. Also, you still CAN make steam if you really want, just the machine will break while doing so and will have to be periodically repaired, but again, why would you bother when there are infinite steam geysers? You can just use all your polluted water for fertilizer now.
  18. It's not just ladders. They generally prefer longer paths instead of shorter ones, for some weird reason. Also when you have more than one of a building, they will often prioritize the further one instead of the closer one. I have a feeling someone somewhere inverted a number in the code by accident.
  19. The Dupe operating it would die of hypothermia.
  20. Valves should have their flow minimum at zero. Not only the non-zero minimum makes no sense for a variable valve, but also we have no way of properly closing pipes to control where liquids or gases go, other than deconstructing a section.
  21. Weird, they work for me perfectly. Can you please add a screenshot of the problem visible in plumbing view?
