How to make beebox produce honey underground where there are not ceiling light.
1) Use star staff to get some lights.
2) Plant some flowers.
3) Turn flowers into evil flowers (haunt). Evil flowers don't wither even when there are no lights.
4) place a bee box nearby
Optional
5) bring some homeless bees down there as well. Homeless bees will help planting more flowers around the area. May sure you put down some scaled flooring to fire proof the area. Otherwise if a newly spawned flower near a star can catch fire and spread to the surrounding area.
7) may as well build some pig house nearby. Pigs will come out during daytime.
Before you ask, no you cannot spawn butterfly underground with this method.
(Last I check this trick doesn't work with moon staff. Things may have changed thou)

It is some kind of sound audio shattering issue, which only happens after the update.
With the moleworm, I was working on a moleworm farm. When say 10+ moleworms are tunneling I start getting audio shattering issue.
With the Rabid Beetles, it happens when there are say 20+ of them chasing you deep in the forest. At first it is shattering, then lost of all audio including BGM music, weapon attack, getting hit and etc. Only gets better as bettles die and number reduced.
Normally I would make a video to better explaining the issue, however since I am using on board graphic atm I am not sure I can record anything.

Um... I am having some kind of sound issue here. Rabid Beetles and moleworm movement sound is broken.

Is the nettles glitched right now? Like I replanted it, built the sprinkler, fertilized the plant during humid season, then nothing happen at all? And everytime I revisit the plant it just keep asking for more and more fertilizer?

The point is your angle of attack relative to the deers and klaus'. If you attack from the side of coz you will hit a deer.

Also the deer's attack animation is actually rather slow, if you would pay attention to them.

that red gem deer can be frozen with 1 shot from blue staff. Will make it abit easier to kill klaus in group fight.

The deer minions do make an aoe field per player, but it isn't Klaus' main source of damage at all. You'll take 2 ticks of freezing or overheating damage if you're actively walking out of it. You have plenty of time to exit it before they go off. The fact that you can have 1 person be taking all of Klaus' hits while the others wail on him seems kinda cheesy y'know?
Klaus' spell can cast multiple aoe spell at once that targets other mobs/players on within range.

It has a more pleasant distribution.
Has anyone found a may to mass produce those little light bulb glowing on the tree? Or can they be refueled? Looking at the durability drop from 100% to 99% just by sitting on the ground, makes me go from

If you play solo, it is harder to kill toad, but then you don't always get the toad stuff from this Klaus either. For scales you can farm Dfly using bunny. If you kite you can kill Dfly too. For any other boss items (eyebrella and etc), it is just easier to kill those boss for the loot. So In a way it is the otherway around, that Klaus loot aren't special so players don't have that special need to challenge the boss. Klaus isn't that hard to kill, poss very little risk if a fight with Klaus gone bad. Hence I think the boss gift bundle kinda reflects the risk and reward.
In public server, players will kill this Klaus for the additional boss items. Doesn't mean that players will leave the other boss alone thou. More eyebrella for everyone is always a good thing.

Many oblivious players will die to this. Heck they're gonna die by accidentally spawning them xD.
Amazing.
I bet once some of the angry kids find out how to kill it with 2~3 darkswords, they are gona cry too easy again:C

try this:
1) Host game
2) c_spawn("klaus",1)
3) c_spawn("shadowmeteor", 100) <-- do this 15 times. Put 10 x n times more meteors in if klaus isn't dead after 1500 meteors
Then, try this
1) Host game
2) c_godmode(1)
3) c_spawn("klaus",1)
4) c_give("nightsword", 12)
5) kill klaus with darksword, then count how many sword you have left.
Both have very similar result. It may have been some kind of damage resistance causing this but the damage required is somewhere close to 75000 damage.
Edit:
Also try
1) Host game
2) c_spawn("klaus",1)
3) c_spawn("shadowmeteor", 1500) Put 10 x n times more meteors in if klaus isn't dead after 1500 meteors

If you kill the deers, klaus get about 75000 HP(1500 shadow meteors damage) for its first life, and then another 30k HP for second life (750~800 shadowmeteors).

I have. It is hard to say if the dev will eventually put that assets into use thou. There were many example in the past that assets found in game files were left aside and never touch again.

I don't really know what you guys have in mind for the term "late game", so I will just speak for myself.
For me, late game means "chilling by the campfire, got nothing else to do".
1) Kill the giants and raid boss, done.
2) Build base, farms and automatized production, done.
3) Stock up piles and piles of resource, done.
If there aren't anything else to do, I start a new save. Why? Because chilling by the campfire is boring.
So from my point of view, any new stuff added to the game that are actually meaningful, that can delay the arrival of late game phase, is all that I needed. So far, pretty much everything they have added to the game during the ANG update has meet the requirement, except the No-Eyed deer. That thing is totally irrelevant to my gameplay as there is no reason at all for me to go after them. Toad, yea it is a good activity and I will do it again and again for as long as I am still missing afew blueprint. Mushroom planter, I don't find it very useful for the cost but I will make a few of those in my base. Bee queen, sure the hat is nice and it is pretty much the only renewable source of honeycomb so I will kill it as often as I can, get the comb and ditch the royal jelly.

Quote"everything is out to kill you".
See this is where I don't really get it. Since when the game is ALL ABOUT "everything is out to kill you"?
Lets get to wiki and have an overview on the list of mobs we have in the game:
http://dontstarve.wikia.com/wiki/Mobs
So just by looking at it, I can tell that the hounds, depthworm and the four giants, are the main mobs that are designed to spawn upon player's location and wreck player's base. Any other mobs, be it hostile neutral or friendly, you pretty much always have a choice to avoid fighting them entirely. Even the hounds the depthworms and the giants, you can ditch them somewhere in the wild or de-aggro them in some other way, and that will be it for you if you choose not to fight them. So really I don't know why some of you have this "everything is out to kill you"? concept in your mind. From my point of view, the game has always have a sense of balance in the design, in which rewards are given to players who choose to deal with challenges. And quite frankly the game is actually much harder if you choose to not fight some of the mobs in the game. Avoid killing any spiders alike at all and you limit your access to silk. Avoid killing any pigs and you dont get pig skin. There are challenges and rewards to be explored and you the player get prepared for whatever is out there that may kill you. That is how the game has always been. Sure if you aren't prepared, the cold the heat the hounds and the frog rain may kill you, if you are indeed that new to the game, but that is about it, really.

Any unknown mechanic to share?

Read REad Birds of the world x 2 + Sleepytime Stories x 1 *before the night falls*. Birds and krampus stay asleep during night time. Unless it is summer you should have enough time to kill all the birds and krampus alone.
I tested this just now. I am not sure if I have done anything wrong on this thou.
Looks like the bee will come out, get to a flower, then realize it is dark outside and get back to the bee box right away. So no honey produced.
I think to make this work you will need to put down some fireflies on top of each flowers as well?
