  1. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Graphics] Platform SteamVersion Number 71378 Issue title Tooth Trap Graphic Not Updating Steps to reproduce 1) Place tooth trap 2) Leave tooth trap alone near tree guard/spiders 3) Return to tooth trap during hound attack Describe your issue I've only experienced this bug once. I placed a series of tooth traps around a campfire outside my home base (to retreat to help with any aggro mobs if needed). There was a spider nest and a treeguard nearby that occasionally walk near the camp. After a few days, the hounds attack and I ran down to the circle of traps. All the graphics indicated that none of the graphics were sprung, but the hounds ran right over the traps, without tripping any of them. I led them off screen and on screen over the traps, but still nothing. I later picked up the traps and placed them down again, and they work. I believe the graphic was displaying a trap that was not sprung, but in actuality, the treeguard triggered the traps and the graphic didn't update.
  2. Determined to find out what has been going on, I've been checking on the first camp every day now and they just reappeared!! Also, on my way back I found a group of 5 pigs randomly in a savannah without houses, and after I killed all of them, my houses back near my home base are spawning again!
  3. Bug Submission Please choose a category [Gameplay] Platform SteamVersion Number 71378 Issue title Pig Men Won't Leave Houses Steps to reproduce 1) Discover pig houses, pigs are running around like normal (this camp happened to have the king too) 2) I killed a couple pigs (several still remaining), fed pig meat to pig king, got gold 3) I left the area, unknown number of days pass 4) Found another pig camp, with 5 houses and no king, pigs outside like normal, left it alone 5) Found a third pig camp with one house, and no pig (could have left somewhere?) 6) Went back to base camp to get a hammer, ~one day passes 7) Went to the first camp that had the king, no pigs in sight, left camp 8) Went to second camp, no pigs in sight 9) Broke three houses at second camp with hammer, pigs were inside, picked up all materials 10) Fed meat to the three pigs and used them to clear a forest 11) Killed all three pigs and collected meat/materials 12) Built one pig house of my own near home base, pig spawned immediately, happy days 13) Number of days pass, not checking on any pigs 14) Go back to second pig camp, break remaining houses, killed pigs inside 15) Go to the third single house camp, break that house, killed pig inside 16) Buiild another pig house next to original, first pig nowhere to be seen 17) Day passes 18) Go to first pig camp, break enough houses and killed pigs inside houses to get a few more skins 19) Build third pig house near first two, two pigs wandering around 20) Days pass 21) Check back on pigs in player built houses, no pigs in sight (although one night I swear I did hear pigs) 22) Days pass 23) Check back in on pigs, still no pigs, afraid to break them down and lose pigs forever! Describe your issue The steps listed to reproduce was everything that I could remember that I did when I noticed that pigs were no longer coming out of the houses during the day. I didn't really think anything of it until I broke a couple houses at the second camp during the day and the pigs were inside instead. I thought that it was weird that the pigs didn't come outside. Then I started checking all the pig houses I found, and realized that none of the pigs were coming outside. I decided to check to see if I built pig houses of my own, if they would behave normally, but after a few days they disappeared to inside their houses too.
  4. I fed three pigs meat, but this was after they stopped leaving their houses. I had to break them out of their houses with a hammer (I needed a forest clearing crew ^_^). I used the pigs to clear a forest, and used the pig skins from their houses and killed all the pigs. Left me with 5 skins I think. I used 4 to build a new pig house closer to my home, and after 2 days, that pig won't leave his house either. I just checked the area with the pig king again, and still no piggies
  5. They're not though, because if I use a hammer to open the shed, they're standing inside.
  6. EDIT: Since I guess this isn't normal, I started checking the pig camp with the king every day and after a couple days they all came back! And randomly on my way back to base I found 5 pigs clumped together in a savannah, so I killed 'em all. When I got back to base I found that my created houses are now spawning pigs again too! Yay! Weird... but yay! Is it normal for pigs to not leave their houses... ever? The very first time I come across a pig house area, they're out and about having a jolly old time. But after they go inside for the night, they will never leave their houses again. I've found three different pig areas, and the same thing happened at each. I have to break 'em down with a hammer to get them out again. Even the ones that I've built now, they won't come back out of the house after day one. So, is this normal?
  7. Nice! Thanks! *Edit: oops forgot to "quote"... thanks for the screengrab of the hound setup
  8. I think the key to the idea might rest in the criticism: there's no motivation to do it. That gives me a good thing to think about there if there was motivation to go to the island and complete it, I do feel that it fits with the theme of the game. I don't see it as a level per say, but the next challenge to your survivability as time progresses. After all, the game requires us to die in order to unlock the next character, so it may just be a very glorious way to "check out". But I'll consider what might give motivation and reward to attempting the challenge, thanks for the comment!
  9. It would be a cool feature that once a certain condition is met (time passed perhaps) that a new land bridge and island comes out of the water attached randomly to the island. Effectively, it will add a single circular land mass-a unique turf-where all of your time spent in preparation will either pay off or backfire. On the island would be a series of tests to challenge your preparedness and survival skills. Some ideas: 1. Navigating a maze with hostile mobs or traps 2. A character specific challenge based on who you're playing as - this could be the boss. Like, for Wilson you have to defeat the "Barber" who can't grow a beard for himself and envies your own... etc. 3. Endless night, where it never becomes day? 4. Endless winter? 5. Possibly it's a lava mass, since it's an island rising out of the ocean, it could be formed by flowing lava which can set you on fire if you don't watch your step. Anyways, before I develop this in my noggin for too long, what would everybody feel about having this sort of an end-game boss island?
  10. Ahh that's too bad, multiplayer was running through my mind as something that could be really epic in this game. Competitive base building in one world, 1v1 running around at night with torches looking for each other! I'll play with the OP because I love watching beards grow.
  11. I would personally love to see your hound death pit, as they are the most serious threat to my health! I've only done play throughs thrice, and each time I died to hounds...
  12. Well, when whales exist you'll be the first to get that kill but that's a bummer sorry.
  13. Yea that's a cool way to put it, character based difficulty I've only used wiley Wil and whimsical Willow, haven't unlocked the others yet... but I can't grow my beard fast enough to keep up the effigy collection. I like risk.
  14. But the internet loves you! <3 Whatever it is, I know that I'll die to it!
  15. everybody's wrong!! it's a furry chupacabra!
