  1. Hey, forum! I just had one crazy series of events in Don't Starve. It all started with me wanting to make a bee box. I needed a lot of silk. I headed for an island with a big spider egg. When I arrived I saw a mandrake. I got it and went to the spider nest. After I spent a while being chased by spiders and finally got the silk required, I decided to cook the mandrake. (This is where I start to get surprised.) When I cooked the mandrake it shrieked. My character awoke in the morning. Realize this is my first time trying that. I thought that I survived because of the amulet I was wearing. I thought I was supposed to die. (If you don't know why, google mandrake.) I ate the cooked mandrake and left. Since cooking the mandrake made me skip the night, I didn't realized it had been a FULL MOON. I headed back to my camp. I passed by my neighborhood pig village. I didn't expect to be attacked by a town of werewolves. I was chased around the island by them before thinking: "Hey, I have this amulet. It didn't break when I heard the mandrake's cry. It must have an unlimited amount of uses." I charged at the nearest werewolf with my spear. I died immediately. I watched as the amulet rose into the air and shattered, bringing me to life. This was my first time dying with an amulet on. I grabbed my stuff and ran. Only two werewolves were left. The rest turned back to normal. I ran from these werewolves until they turned to normal too. I have seen some pretty bad luck in this game before. But this holds the cake........for now.
  2. I've noticed that the world I play on is not very exciting. If I create a new world, will I keep all of the beautiful, beloved research that I worked so hard to get? I want to create a new world, but do not want to risk loss of research. Will I lose it?
  3. So, I noticed the quote that appears when one clicks on a boulder without a pick. It says "It wouldn't fit in my pocket." I think it would be pretty awesome if by using the magic in the game, it could be possible to actually make the quote untrue. This would be possible by making a crafting blueprint in the magic section. This blueprint would require 1 Opulent Pickaxe 8 Cut Stone and 5 Gold Nuggets. This would create the Quarry Digger. This item would require 500 research points and an Alchemy Engine nearby before crafting. The Quarry Digger can be used to instantly turn a boulder into an item called Tiny Boulder. When a player clicks on the Tiny Boulder with the right mouse button it turns the boulder into double the drops of breaking a boulder. It also has twice the chances of dropping the less often dropped stuff by boulders. Researching a Tiny Boulder would grant 25 research points. The Quarry Digger has half/the same of the durability of a regular pickaxe. I hope to see this item in the game.
  4. I've noticed that in Don't Starve that flint is nonrenewable and can become scarce if you are on one game for a long time. I think we should prevent the terrible problem it would cause if you end up like me and cannot make tools because you cannot find flint on your world that you have so much progress on. To prevent this I believe that bone tools need to be added. So that almost every animal drops bones. Beefalo = 10 Rabbit = 4 Bird = 2 Bird Thing = 10 Hound = 7 and think of numbers for other creatures I haven't listed because I haven't encountered them yet. I think that the blue prints should be: Bone Axe = 2 Bones 1 Twig - Bone Pickaxe = 4 Bones 1 Twig - Bone Shovel - 3 Bones 1 Twig - Bone Spear = 4 Bones 1 Rope 1 Twig I am not completely sure of the accuracy of these blueprints. I believe that they might need some tweaking before they enter the game. I also think that there should be a new weapon added. The blueprint would be: 3 Bones 1 Rope. This would make a Bone Mace. This would have the effectivity of a spear. I also think that another weapon should be added aswell. The blueprint is: 2 Bones 2 Rope. This would make a Bone Flail. I also have an idea for Bone Armor. This would require 20 Bones and 3 Rope. This would be twice the durability of the logsuit and the same damage resistance. These bone items should have less durability as the original items. (excluding the armor) I am just brainstorming here. i understand if these aren't added. I hope nonetheless that they will be added. If these ideas are added would be amazed that my idea made a difference.
