Don't Starve

  1. Seriously? I think someone would buy their own Don't Starve key before going through with this....
  2. You have to pick up your torch so its in your cursor as if you were about to drop it and hover it over a tree, there's no bug its just to stop you setting entire forests on fire when you click around with the torch in your hand - - - Updated - - - You have to pick up your torch so its in your cursor as if you were about to drop it and hover it over a tree, there's no bug its just to stop you setting entire forests on fire when you click around with the torch in your hand
  3. Fireplace life meter

I really don't think that would be necessary, you can pretty much guess how long the fire has left if it's low in the middle of the night put more logs on. Plus I believe the games trying to be realistic with the physics side of things so you wouldn't exactly see a timer or meter in real life would you? So no I don't think there's a need for it....
  4. to easy to starve!

I am very sorry but the name of the game is 'Don't Starve' so I'd find it quite disheartening if it were the most difficult thing to do... Wouldn't you?
  5. W3RT, the Robot

This sounds like a great idea, but if he could only heal off graveyard objects, I suggest he get slightly more health than other characters, this makes more sense to me being that he's potentially made of metal. But to ensure that doesn't make the character overpowered, possibly introduce a rust meter especially for him, that gradually increases daily, nerfing his walking speed until eventually he stops entirely. That would also dim down the fuel thing too.
  6. Abigail Suggestion

@mobius187 In reply to the multiple ghosts, father, mother etc. How would that impact the storyline? If they do eventually expand the story how would you explain Wendy's father's and mother's ashes appearing in some random grave, on an island they may never have been to? EDIT: Sorry if it seems picky but I find the storyline as absorbing as the game
  7. Invisible others...

That's really a great idea but I think it would nullify the loneliness feel this game has to it, although you'd never see said 'other' you'd know he/she/it was there by the telltale tree stumps, harvested saplings etc. Plus I wouldn't want someone else theiving my precious resources!
  8. My OCD

I get bothered by the fact that when I plant my tree wall around my camp the trees generally end up zig zagging when I want a straight line of them... So I propose a type of grid to plant trees and place your buildings (science machine etc.) To organise your camp and just make it generally less messy... I'd love to see if people have the same problem, if you think I'm just crazy feel free to say so
  9. @eowjsgka you seem to be a very close minded kind of person... I have to hand it to mobius187 for being able to stay calm and collected at such an, for want of a better word, attack at a brilliant game with a very dedicated community that's clearly very passionate about it, so I'm not surprised you've had a hard time. But I have to insist that you take more time to enjoy the game it's not just something that will release all of its content all in one go. So maybe you should, in future, have more patience with a game that requires it. Not to mention the fact this game is still in development as many have already iterated, so kindly give it another go and if you find you still feel the same way maybe you should look into other genres.
  10. More Rocks!

No I've seen very few islands since I only bought the game the other day, my first island consisted of the forest biome and the grassland one that beefalos spawn on and that was it... Looks to me like the island I'm currently on although is far bigger but is not as big as it should be? Although I stand by the earthquakes/volcanoes theory I think that'd add a lot to the game.
  11. Day 100 Dragon attack?

I think this is a great idea! Although going past day 50 would be kind of tedious seeing as there isn't enough content yet... So maybe at day 50 or 60 you'd get the dragon to deal with but otherwise I agree
  12. More Rocks!

Then here lies my problem! No bridges nor pig king on my little island :/ and in reply to the volcano idea that'd be great and maybe if it'd also increase the size of the island
  13. From what I've noticed rocks (the big ones you smash with the pick) are finite on the island(s) you're on, after exhausting my last rock trying to find that one piece of gold to craft a miners helmet I noticed once it was used up I'd never be able to build one again, so I suggest some sort of tremor or earthquake system to produce ruptures in the ground causing more rocks to appear, and maybe even go so far as to completely restructure the islands tearing them apart or forcing them together, and maybe even and end game item or building that will allow you control them. Your thoughts?
  14. Hunting, Gathering modes

The first stage is admitting you have a problem....
  15. Hunting, Gathering modes

Maybe even a shift click? Or Ctrl and click as that forces attack correct? - - - Updated - - - Maybe even a shift click? Or Ctrl and click as that forces attack correct?
