  1. How on earth do 4 fish in the crock pot make wet goop??? If 3 fish plus a filler equals fish sticks then four fish should at LEAST equal fish sticks. Sheesh Mcgeesh!-Sara
  2. That is an AWESOME backstory idea!!! cooooooool;)- They should totally make this the official version.
  3. Well definitely! But where do the others fit in? Thats why I think it has something to do with their characters in the real world. Why were they all chosen by Maxwell? It couldnt have been random...
  4. Totally, well....tricked is a funny word because if a disembodied voice came on MY radio asking if i want to know forbidden scientific secrets i would definitely turn off my radio...- SO I think Wilson definitely chose to make the pact. But yeah you could say he was tricked too.
  5. Yeah but the video doesn't say who or .... what .... Maxwell is:)! Interpretation is fun!
  6. I still love you Wes. - Or he made a pact with the "demon" Maxwell for the information and then had to pay the price. MWa hahahahaha!!!!
  7. Yeah but that makes it look like he made a pact with the devil. So that kind of reinforces my idea...- - - Updated - - - Its always the mime. Always.
  8. Oooo I like this thread. What I think is that all the characters were sinners (committed evil acts, killed people, etc). Maxwell is the demon responsible for punishing them. This world is basically our "hell" in a way, we must go through all these trials and basically earn our right to be "forgiven" and released. When we commit more evil acts (like killing sleeping animals etc) then Krampus comes to teach us another lesson. So... Maxwell was probably an evil scientist who experimented on small animals (like his character pic), and Willow obviously was a pyromaniac who burned down buildings, I think Wendy might have killed Abigail, and you can fill in the other characters "sins" as you see fit. But thats what i think is going on;) I definitely think the characters are already "dead' and these are just ghosts or the souls of the characters.

  10. Wow! Where did you find that information? Testing or is it in some post or log i can't find?? I have been looking for that level of specificity forever:) Thanks Alvhem!
  11. Hi! I just died because I was gathering wood and could not see the swamp land under snow. So I stood there chopping a tree down and got felled by a tentacle! Maybe have swamp land look like brown ice? OR dirty brown snow? -Sara
  12. I understand what Dadums is saying. I dont know why everyone jumped down his throat, maybe it was the way he said it. But his point, I believe, is that when a creator/developer gets to know his creation extremely well then they might lose the ability to see it from unbiased perspective (a fresh perspective). This could possibly lead to making the game have too steep of a learning curve. That's where we come in, the BETA testers. However, after we have played for enough time, we fall into our own survival strategies and gameplay patterns. And when a certain feature is changed, people who rely on it for their particular strategy are incensed. However, when it comes to overall game balance, some features truly help balance the game and some just make the whole thing unstable. So it is through this whole process of testing and posting that the developers can eventually release a finished, awesome product that is friendly to gamers: and those gamers who did not participate in the BETA. I agree with Daddums that new players and new perspectives are GOOD for any BETA because a constant influx of fresh perspectives makes the finished product a better one for all potential consumers/players. -Sara
  13. Is Winter supposed to come 11 days into the game?
  14. Me too. In adventure mode I started a game and explored the entire World 1 and no Beefalos. No berry bushes either. I assumed this was a generation error so I deleted and re-generated a new world. I have run around a great deal but still no Beefalos in the fields and no berries in the forest. I am not sure if it is a bug or not... because maybe the lack of resources was implemented on purpose to propel a player forward...that is to motivate them to escape before they die. As of right now I rely on wild carrots and the occasional bird, and I am trying desperately to find a way out of World 1 hoping that World 2 might have better resources. What might help is that I dont know where to look for the ACTUAL changelog. I ALWAYS read the release notes but they seem to constantly leave out some important detail...like "there will be no berry bushes in adventure mode so dont waste your first 20 days running around like an idiot looking for them...ditto on Beefalos". Or telling us the day length will be changing...was that stated anywhere. I asked this question once before, and If im being dense I apologize, but is there a clear changelog with every hotfix and update? Like a real one where every change is documented? Or do you guys (the developers) just make a post in between threads. What ever happened to the "announcements" section when you would post all the update stuff in there in its own thread?? Anyways as for the debate in here about difficulty.... all that I would like to say this is an awesome public forum dedicated to the development of this game, which is currently in BETA. That might sound totally obvious, but some people are becoming insulting to other posters, and i HATE the word "noob". EVERYONE IS A NOOB AT EVERY GAME AT LEAST ONCE. So its silly to speak down to people who you dont know because they are making suggestions directed towards the developers of the game on a PUBLIC BETA FORUM. This forum has so far been an overwhelmingly positive experience and I have seen forums that can go south and become downright hateful. So i urge everyone to make their statements and suggestions in a manner that is going to foster this community. because, after all, we all like the game, we are all playing, and contributing ideas, and this is a fun process in itself. When I was growing up I would have loved to put my two cents in about Kings Quest or Monkey Island. I think the best solution is to do what many of the previous posters have suggested: simply add difficulty levels to adventure mode. And All types of gamers, those who have lots of time and those who have less time, can enjoy the game:) Also, remember that they added the word (TEST) right next to the adventure mode, and the developers seem so supportive of opinions and feedback here, so its just that...for us to TEST and tell them what we think -Sara
